SERVPRO of Athens opened for business in 1980. During our 38 years of history we have grown and experienced many changes. We still meet and provide services for customers that were serviced by our original owner, Terry Osbolt. Harry and Pat Mangleburg purchased SERVPRO of Athens in 1984. Peter Wood was hired in March of 1984 as a Production Technician.
Peter Wood stayed with the franchise for 15 years and purchased the franchise in 1999. Two years later Peter's wife, Claudia, came onboard as Co-Owner. Peter and Claudia Wood are proud owners of SERVPRO of Athens and enjoy watching the company grow with the community. Peter and Claudia are known as transplanted Yankees (having lived in Massachusetts for some time).

"Like it never happened"
Well, it didn't. I had a tree limb puncture my roof and was awaken at 5:00 am by a gallon of water splashing on me while in bed. I called my insurance company to see if they had a relationship with anybody in this area that could emergency tarp the roof. They responded ServPro. Looking at "Emergency Roof Tarping" on Google, I indeed see our local ServPro. So I called their office at 8:00 am. The message said to call their office (which I had) if this was an emergency, or their project manager, David. So I called David, and got a greeting to call their office. After trying

I’ve employed Servpro for decades and am never disappointed. Most recently Stanton has been doing my work, he’s thorough and wonderful to have in my house. Here’s a tip, no matter how good a housekeeper you think you are, always have the guys show you the waste water after your house is finished. It’s humbling!

Our consultation and estimate were completed 72 hours after I called. Shelley was polite and thorough. The work was scheduled at our convenience and completed 1 week after our consultation. The service technicians were also polite and considerate. The work took about 3 hours. The men cleaned up when they were done. I would recommend ServPro and would use them again.
