Chet's Garage, Inc. is a family-owned and operated towing company based in Goshen, NY. Our garage opened in 1945 and has successfully grown into a trusted name for towing and recovery services across Orange and Goshen County Region of New York and New Jersey. In the early 1940's, Joseph Chester "Chet" Korycki had one of the largest trucks in the area.
He voluntarily helped pull out local farm trucks that got stuck in the black dirt. Word spread and all the local farmers started to call and depend on Chet to pull out their vehicles. This influenced Chet to design and build his own wrecker, as well as start our towing business. Over the years, we have also used our heavy duty wreckers and equipment to help put up buildings in the area.

When a universal failed in my ‘s drive shaft Chet’s was hooking up to me within 30 mins with a heavy wrecker. They were very easy to deal with from the first phone call to Melissa in the office to when Bobby pulled up along side of route 17 in Middletown. They went through and gave me a VERY fair estimate of what it would cost to fix everything underneath my truck. They quickly went to work after I gave them the “go ahead” and had me up and running within a couple days!! A true class act business to deal with!!

One of your employees went above and beyond to help me get my vehicle back moving safely after being hung up in a ditch. I was caught in a very unusual situation when your tow vehicle happen to be driving by and be at the right place at the right time. He used his expertise and quick whit to deescalate the situation and get me back on the road safely. I unfortunately did not get his name but I was on route 97 in sparrow bush when he happened to drive by and jumped to my aid. If this gentleman is any indication of the people you employ at Chet’s you should be proud, he is a true class act and

This thief charge me $513.60 to tow my car 1.8 miles to his garage. Car was in one piece & no flatbed was used. At the scene of the accident I asked what the charge would be he blatantly ignored me. I was going to use AAA but because of the stress of dealing with the motor vehicle accident I unfortunately used what was conveniently in front of me..this pathetic business that robs people at their weakest moment. SHADY BUSINESS! DO NOT USE!

Absolutely horrible place over priced for everything, cash only and sad to say in cahoots with the police as when I had my accident they would not allow me to have it towed anywhere else I even had some belongings disappear from my car an investigation should be made as to why this horrid place is the only one police in the area allow your car to be towed to if anything happens on the road they wouldn't even allow me to call Triple A to have it towed as a Reporter I am working on an article about Chet's and if you have any information please contact me.

For a towing from an accident site in the same town and 48 hours of storage (which of course they charged three full days worth) it was over $500. The lady at the desk actually said to us, "I could charge you a thousand dollars if I wanted to, and you couldn't even file a complaint about me because there's nobody to complain to." Absolutely outrageous pricing, I would NEVER have my car towed there or recommend anybody to have anything to do with this place.

Don't use this company, they will rip you off! Goshen police had me use them to tow my car after my car slid into a guard rail on the pavement. This happened during a snow storm on a Saturday night. They refused to tow my car to a nearby parking lot like I requested. When I came to get my car on Monday morning, I was charged $225 for the tow and $130 for storage. With tax, my bill was $383 to be towed 3 miles to a facility I did not want it towed to. Their rates seem to be almost three times as high as any other towing company I've used in the area.
