B&Z Manufacturing is the San Francisco Bay Area's precision CNC machine shop source for ultra precision machining, multi-axis milling, and turning. We bring over 50 years of experience to every job we do, from optical waveguides to radar guidance systems. B&Z machines materials from hyper nickel, HyMu 80, Kovar and Invar to Aluminum, Delrin, Vespel, Brass, Tellurium Copper, and Torlon.
We have over 16,000 square feet of the best equipment in the industry, including 3, 4, and 5 axis Cad-driven CNC machines with electronic probing and 3 Zeiss CMM's for ultimate measurement capabilities. Whether thousands of parts or a handful of prototypes are needed, our consistent precision, down to the finest of tolerances, will always be given.

Services
Since 1960, B&Z Manufacturing has been machining ultra-precision components for San Francisco Bay Area companies within California, such as Agilent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, Honeywell-Measurex, and others. We specialize in multi-axis milling and turning and our facility has been granted ISO 9001:2015 certification by DQS Inc. B&Z is a clean, modern, temperature-controlled, 16,000 square foot high-tech manufacturing facility.
Exceptional Experience: B&Z Manufacturing is a family-owned business and as such, many of our machinists are multi-generational. My grandmother was a machinist for Westinghouse starting during World War 2 and retiring after 30 years machining parts for nuclear submarines.
After serving in the USMC for 20 years, my father was a machinist for 25 years, and I have worked in a machine shop, this machine shop, since I was 13 years old, and that was a very long time ago.My oldest son is a machinist, as is the son of my General Manager. We have had many father-son and brother teams over the years and although the faces change, many of the names remain the same.

Machining methods have changed dramatically over time. The one spindle, one tool, one-man operation concept used in the early part of the last century and by garage machinists even to this day, has given way to multi axis milling services and turning centers. Hundreds of staged tools, fitted with multiple fixtures capable of machining dozens, if not hundreds, of completed parts of all shapes and sizes in a single run.
One of B&Z Manufacturing's newest machines complements our 5 Axis Supercells by allowing us to machine much larger parts. The Kitamura HX400 12 pallet Horizontal with a robotic pallet cell and 200 tools is capable of horizontal machining hundreds of parts per day. A nice feature of this horizontal CNC milling machine is its modularity, allowing the capability to expand the pallet pool if needed.
Vertical machining is the bread and butter of any machine shop. You need these vertical machining tools to either prep for our 5 axis machines or finish parts coming off the multi-pallet machines. They are also great for all prototype applications and for making fixtures. Our machining centers these days can move X, Y, and Z-axis at incredibly fast speeds with unparalleled accuracy.
