Named Outstanding Senior of the Year, Dr. Burton was inducted into the NSU Hall of Fame. Having served as President of the Southwest Missouri Optometric Society, Dr. Burton also dedicated time as a board member for the Missouri Optometric Association and the University of Missouri-St.

When one has a medical eye problem (ruptured blood vessel in the back of the eye) as I did, it's comforting to know you can be seen and referred to the proper eye specialist quickly. Dr. Burton identified the problem and I was on my way to have laser surgery the same day. Lamar is fortunate to have two excellent Doctors of Optometry with friendly, knowledgeable staff and a pleasant calming atmosphere.
