Challenger Pallet & Supply is a manufacturer of new, commercial wooden pallets and a distributor of repaired and remanufactured pallets. In 1969, our business began in southeast Idaho to provide shipping and packaging pallets for the local agricultural industry. A growing need in the potato and sugar markets drove our initial growth as we provided solutions for businesses to ship their products across the nation.
Today, Challenger Pallet has grown to become the largest pallet producer in the intermountain west. We currently operate a manufacturing facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho where our home office is located. In 1992, we expanded into the Salt Lake City, Utah market solidifying our presence on the Wasatch front and increasing our ability to service the local economy.

Challenger Pallet is the North West's leading wooden crate manufacturer. At Challenger Pallet, we use top of the line machines to meet your wood packaging needs. Our nailing equipment comes from Viking Engineering, who is a leader in the pallet assembly industry. We use high-quality saws from Baker Products, Pacific Trail, Storti Machinery, and others to custom cut the lumber that goes into your pallets.
During World War II, mass volumes of military goods and food supplies were being shipped across the country and around the world. Before this era, everything was hand loaded on to trucks. Pallets became a necessary commodity for the U.S. military to expedite shipments of much-needed rations and supplies.
As a young man, Tad watched his father, Victor Hegsted, start Challenger Pallet from the ground up. He has done everything in the company from stacking lumber, driving a truck, and running a crew. After his father's passing, he jumped in with his mother and brother-in-law Kelly to continue to build the business into a first-class pallet operation.
