Jefferson Door was founded in 1959 to bring the new concept of pre-hung doors to the New Orleans market. Our business began on Cook Street in Old Gretna with only six people and 4,000 square feet of warehouse. The business grew quickly-so much so that the small warehouse was added on to four times over a span of only 10 years to a total of 27,000 square feet.
In the late 1960s, as the business continued to out-grow the space available, it became necessary to split the operation into two locations by adding a warehouse in Algiers to house our exterior door assembly. At the time, Jefferson Door's suppliers delivered raw materials from the Pacific Northwest by rail.

Jefferson Door offers free delivery to the entire greater New Orleans area, including the north shore. Free delivery to areas outside of the greater New Orleans area and Mississippi is available on a limited, case-by-case basis. Jefferson Door isn't just for contractors! We also sell our wholesale materials directly to the public through our inside sales team.

Jefferson Door stocks permacast columns in a wide variety of sizes, both square and round. Plain or decorative Greek Ionic, Roman Corinthian, and Temple of the Winds caps and bases are available to put the finishing touch on your column. Custom sized and shaped permacast columns and wood columns are also available through our suppliers or our specialty department.

I ordered 2 doors at over $2000. They charged me 3% on a deposit I made with a debit card over the phone. After placing the order it took them over a week to make the delivery and when they did they messed up the order and only brought one door. The driver told me that it shouldn't be a problem getting the other door delivered in a couple of days, by the end of the week, but when I called they told me it would take another week to deliver the door. A week has come and gone and still no door.

I purchased a Fiberglass Door With 3/4 glass from Jefferson Door Co, the customer service was excellent, door was delivered on time, they even sent out extra trim in case I needed a wider moulding. I will definitely buy any door I ever need from them. Their price was so good for a quality door. Looks great!
