Ferrous metals are the metals that contain iron. Some examples of ferrous metals are stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, carbon steel and wrought iron. Non-ferrous metals do not contain iron. A few examples of non-ferrous metals would be nickel, brass, copper, aluminum, zinc, tin and lead. You are sure to receive a fair price at Pooleys.
Many people don't know that scrap metal can be recycled and oftentimes come with a payout. First you must determine if you have a ferrous or non-ferrous metal to decipher what time of metal you are looking to recycle. The most common metals accepted by scrap yards include copper, steel, aluminum, brass, iron and wires.

So far the best scrap yard by far. People are friendly and helpful. They remember you and make you feel welcomed there. And so far their prices are top of the line. I've been to a lot of recycling places since I started scraping and I go out of my way to bring them my business and will keep doing so.

Office was more then willing to work with us. We called ahead and found out they closed at 4pm and was able to work things out on what to bring as we brought many different metals. Some they could take that evening and others we brought next day. Price was more then far and even greater then other places around. Very professional and pleasant. I would be more then happy to send anyone there!

The worst...not only did they start cheating prices when they bought out the recycling center in new richland...to be expected..doesnt make it right but to be expected but now...friday...spring cleaning...everything like the web...their sign...calling and asking...it all says 4:30 they close...we show up at 4:15 and the office has already closed the cash drawer and the back wont take the metal...gave a bs excuse how they dont do cans after 4...nowhere says that and had i brought a load of copper...how were you going to pay me...ur drawer is counted and closed....very poor business ethics...no wonder
