Splendor Shower Door was founded in 1952, as a fabricator of room partitions. In 1968, Splendor began fabricating and installing shower doors in the Toledo, Ohio area. Jack and Marilyn Wanamaker bought the company in 1978 and expanded the business geographically to Southern Michigan and Northeast Ohio.
In 1992, Splendor introduced a framed series of shower enclosures and over the next 10 years, added semi-frameless and heavy all-glass shower doors. The current owner, Tom Wanamaker, bought the company in 2004 and expanded service to 12 states. In 2012, Splendor added glass fabrication and tempering to become a complete shower door manufacturer and glass fabrication company.

The strength of the Premier swing door's aluminum frame makes it the obvious choice for wider openings (up to 40). The full length magnets on the door and strike jamb provide a strong and consistent seal for aggressive water activity. The matching metal drip plate redirects the water to the drain, while the replaceable vinyl seal attached below provides a pliable solid seal.
The Atlantis is equipped with a round header bar, 2 over-sized rollers, cylinder style stoppers and a 6 ladder-style handle. The Barcelona is equipped with a square header bar, 2 over-sized rollers, block style stoppers and a 6 ladder-style handle. The Galileo is equipped with a round header bar, 4 over-sized rollers, cylinder style stoppers and a 6 ladder-style handle.
The Elite Series sliding shower door is ideal for those upscale bathrooms with a full-size shower but limited space. The heavy 3/8 doors roll smoothly past one another to allow for easy access and easy cleaning. The panels can also be accessorized with the hardware of your choice from traditional to contemporary.

I contacted Splendor for a shower door quote a couple weeks ago by dropping by their showroom on McCord Road. Eric was very helpful and set up a time for Joe to come out and measure. It was comforting when Joe said that he had 30 years experience with glass installations. Joe did a very thorough job of measuring the opening to my new shower. It wasn’t a simple throw up the tape, take a couple measurements and leave. Joe used a couple levels to make sure that opening was square which is a sign of a professional. Super professional & reasonably priced.
They were the only company that wore booties on their feet when quoting us (and during install!)—and that kind of detailed attention to professionalism carried through.
As to price, I had a big box store (Lowe’s) quote me for installation of their DreamLine doors sold in their store. Price was slightly higher than Splendor!
Considering Splendor was offering custom doors which were made, installed and warrantied all by a local company with years in the area—the choice was simple.
Highly recommended. We’re very pleased with the finished product

I called for a price for a custom shower door. They came out and measured for free. The salesmen that called me to give me the quote was not pushy and gave me a reasonable price, so I ended up placing an order the following week. They installed it today and did an amazing job. The guy they sent out was very professional, personable, and you could tell he cared about the work he did. From start to finish of the process; I have zero complaints. Highly recommend.
