Dynamic Strides Therapy (DST) is the one place where children with special needs can experience the therapeutic benefits of equine movement, a unique sensory gym and the compassionate support of skilled, certified therapists. Empowering children to achieve their maximum potential by providing accessibility to skilled therapy services in an integrated environment.
Our caring team of experienced therapists are excited to help your child reach his or her potential. We provide the positive stimulation your child needs to build confidence, achieve developmental goals and improve quality of life. The occupational therapist helps your child derive meaningful enjoyment from participation in everyday activities, with an emphasis on social and behavioral development, basic sensory awareness, and motor skills.
Occupational Therapists (OTs) work with children and their families to promote active participation in activities or occupations that are meaningful to them. A child's life is made up of occupations, or everyday activities, such as playing, learning, sleeping, interacting with family and friends, getting dressed, etc.
Physical therapists work with children and their families to help each child achieve and maintain mobility and quality of life by maximizing his or her potential to function independently. Physical therapists work with each family to promote active participation at home, school and in the community.
The term hippotherapy refers to how occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology professionals use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of equine movement to engage sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to achieve functional outcomes.

This is the greatest therapy center in the Springfield area. We love the new facility and the fact that our kids can receive their therapy on a horse or in a more traditional clinical setting. The staff, volunteers, and therapists are great to work with and it's obvious they have a genuine love for the kids. My son has received therapy with dynamic strides for 8 yeard and will be here for many more. It has truly been life changing for him.

We have been greatly blessed by the therapies my daughters receive at Dynamic Strides. These therapies have been life changing. Miss Jess and Miss Marge are amazing. They truly care about my girls and it is evident that they love what they do. My daughters work week after week to strive for their goals, but it never feels like work. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be part of the Dynamic Strides family.
