Depression is a common illness that affects more than 350 million people worldwide. It is characterized by feelings of sadness, feeling blue, lack of energy and negative thoughts about themselves and others. Depression is very treatable. There are many different causes of depression. Major depressive disorder can be caused by factors such as nutrition, hormones, medications, lifestyle, gender, low self-esteem, unforeseen life events etc.
Anxiety is a term that is heard often. But, what really is it? Anxiety is a normal reaction to situations that are uncertain, stressful or new. Unfortunately, for some people who have anxiety disorders, these worries and fears are not temporary. They are debilitating and get worse over time. Anxiety can lead to impairment in a person's functioning at school, work, social situation and day to day activities.
Being true to yourself is one of the hardest things to do. It requires you to be vulnerable with yourself and others- I'm here to help you on your journey. Finding a gay-affirming therapist can be surprisingly difficult in Miami. It is very hard to know whether or not your counselor is knowledgable and compassionate about sexuality and all the issues that may arise.

Ms. Kreinberg has helped me cope with anxiety and depression. I have been to a few counselors, and what I like best about Monika is she not only listens but gives options of how to actionably solve problems. She has guided me through relationship challenges, infertility, and postpartum ups and downs. Her educational background is evident and at the same time she is understanding and personable. I highly recommend Mind Wellness Center.
