Miguel Arabia has been servicing cars and trucks for over 35 years. He a master mechanic and diagnostician. Dr Detail is community minded and serves not only his customers but volunteers with many of the Island's charities. And, we have proven to be customer minded and offer Free Pick-Up and Delivery as a time saving convenience for customers within a 10 mile radius.
Most vehicle manufacturer's recommend specific types of motor oil when a vehicle is new. It's suggested to use a slightly thicker oil motor as the engine ages because newer engine usually have tighter engine internals that require the use of thinner grades of motor oil. Alternately, high mileage engines often need a tad thicker grade of oil because they are more prone to wear.
I left for Jackson, Mississippi and got bad gas on the way. The dealer in Jackson estimated the cost for a new fuel pump, a filter and to clean out the tank cost to be $1470. I agreed and waited. After 4 days and no parts I had to leave for Galveston. After a few scares I made it and got to Mike at Dr Detail Auto Repair.

Have had good experiences here in the past but they can be slow, or backed up.. So today I called ahead and was told to come right down as they could take me right in. So I drive straight over to then sit for 6 minutes for the guy at the desk to help me, as he was “busy”, to be told that there was at least an hour wait before they could even get started. What a huge waste of time and this will be my last visit here… Don’t lie to your customers, it only hurts your business more in the long run.

These guys did a PHENOMENAL job on our truck! We were booked for 11am but got finished with another errand early at around the same time Jesse called to confirm we were on the way. When my husband originally booked the appt. he was told to plan on 2 hours. They had us washed, dried, waxed and vacuumed in about an hour and a half. The truck is absolutely spotless!! And the guys even emptied my trash can in the back seat! They were not only thorough with the obvious but also with the little things. We couldn't be any happier and will definitely be back!
