The first time I stayed here there was a hair on the sheets (that wasn't mine) and then I found a big bug in the bathroom. I braved it again another time and that room was ok. It's just a convenient place to to stay when I'm in town so it's hard to beat. The freeway is loud, but with the fan on in the room you can't hear it anymore.

Don't be fooled by the 2 star profiling. This is a great hotel. Yes it's close to i5 so you will hear the cars go by but it's all part of roadtripin'. Very clean room, beds were comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Would recommend for budget lodging, will be staying here again on my way back home 🙂

Horrible place to stay at apparently you are not allowed to have guests after 10pm but it is not posted anywhere nor did i sign anything agreeing to it. The owners daughter made my 3 kids and i leave because my brother came to visit us. It was such bs and at the last minute she stated "well we need the room its gonna be a busy weekend" wow money hungry people thats all they are they didn't care if we had a place to sleep or not!! She was so rude never again will i go back

We needed a place to stay the night and we just happened upon this little inn. They had a room available at 9pm and gave us a great affordable price. The staff were very friendly, the room was unique and really lovely. It was very clean and they supplied plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, fridge, microwave, and morning coffee and snacks. It felt very safe and cozy. Room was spacious and there was a nice TV and channels as well as new plug ins for charging phones and such. Also a table and chairs for eating and such. Right off the highway and near gas station and grocery stores. So grateful

I wanted this to be a 5 star review because the Orland Inn is a small town, locally owned business that I've loved in the past. This town is close to my heart.
HOWEVER, I was surprised and disappointed to see that in 2020 they have no covid-19 measures in place, down to the unmasked desk staff.
I was traveling through, on my way home to immune compromised people and even after inquiring about mask safety for the sake of community members, I was given a shrug by multiple staff.
If you're looking for covid, check this place out.
Bonus: being kept up all night by a bro-party directly

When you check into a budget motel close to the freeway, you have certain expectations. The Orland Inn exceeded them. Really nice staff, clean room, super comfy bed, hot shower and air conditioner that both blast. We've been on a road trip for a week, in a different place each night, and this has been the best. Plus... it's not a chain.

Terrible. Smelled strongly of urine as soon as we walked in. It was 30 degrees outside and the heat wasn't on or wasn't working, so the room was freezing, and no thermostat either. The bed smelled like dirty laundry. I told the man at the front desk and he didn't seem to care. Do yourselves a favor and stay somewhere else!

Okay so I would have to put this hotel in the category of pretty good, with the addition that it has great potential.
So, we showed up, they had an add that said you could stay there for 70 bucks. When I got there and showed them the add, they said that they wouldn't honor it because the only rooms they had left were king size beds. Well, the add didnt specify bed size, but I'm tired, I want to sleep, so I just paid the 86 and moved on... but we got the wrong room key at first, which I guess wouldn't have mattered except that there was someone in the room for which we got a key

The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The quilt was of good quality. The pillows were soft. The location is quiet, and there's even a lawn area for walking your pet, as well as picnic tables and a BBQ grill. The front office staff is also friendly and courteous. One of the downfalls was that we reserved a non-smoking room and it definitely smelled like a smoking room. We detected it when we walked in, but figured we would adapt. We didn't stay long after check-in so it was not until bedtime that the potency of the smell hit us. I asked the front desk for a freshener and they kindly

It had been a long day and i was heading north to portland from petaluma, so i passed on redding as my destination for the evening, and took the orland exit which had the orland inn displayed. it is located right off i-5, next to a mini-mall. it was a sunday night and there were plenty of rooms available. the desk clerk was extremely friendly & helpful, and also gave me easy directions to the dining options offered (la corona restaurant!).
they gave me my key - a real "key" - and the room was clean enough, large enough, quiet enough; the bed was comfortable enough; the shower had

We stayed at the Orland Inn in early November 2016. We have stayed there before and were fine with the accommodations. Clean and cheap. However this time we stayed on the second floor, room 214. When we checked in the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, even though the room was supposed to be non-smoking. We found that when you turned on the light in the bathroom the fan came on automatically. The air the fan pulled in was from outside and from apparently where people smoked. Imagine sitting in the tiny bathroom with the fan blowing cigarette smoke over you. Just gross! We tried to tell the

Orland is about half way from Portland to San Diego, and makes a good stopover if you don't feel like dealing with the traffic, crime, and the sketchy motels of Sacramento. Orland is not far from the I-5 at all. They offer AAA discount, but I don't have AAA. When I came in, I mentioned an internet coupon I saw online, and the patient young desk guy Dave gave me the discount, no problem....it made my day. He politely listened to my random prattle after being stuck in my car alone for 10 hours. Great rate, awesome room, comfortable bed, quality sheets, plenty of power outlets and

Car broke down on I5 on Christmas. Got towed here because it was the closest place to stay for the night. Good service guy in the office helped us our getting a good priced room. I didn't expect much being that we were in the middle of nowhereville California but the room was in pretty good condition and the bed had a nice tempurpedicish foam pad on it. Fridge and microwave in the room was nice and a surprising addition. No central heat or air. Wall unit but it seemed to work well. Gas station across the street for snacks and toiletry items. Great Mexican food place in the parking lot. All
