Dr. Brian S. Thamel has been in practice for over 28 years graduating with honors from the New England College of Optometry in 1988. He is an honors graduate from Clark University in 1984. He practiced with his father, Dr. Theodore Thamel, until he retired and currently practices with his wife, Dr. Valarie A. Ricciardi.
Dr. Nicole F. Cerio recently graduated with honors from New England College of Optometry. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honors society and VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) during all four years of Optometry School. During school, she went to El Salvador with VOSH and China with OneSight to help provide optometric services to underprivileged populations.
Ara started working in the optical field in 1986 while finishing high school. He later graduated from Newbury College completing the Ophthalmic Dispensing Program. He has worked as an Optician at many well established optical enterprises including Pearle Vision, Davis Vision and Harvard Vanguard. In the summer of 2016 he became a part of our team and works in both the Worcester and Spencer office.

This is without a doubt the worst source for eye exams and eye prescriptions. I had an appointment for an eye exam. I was told my new glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. I was called to pick them up and when I tried to read the bottom 2 lines with the new glasses I couldn’t read the 2 bottom lines but I could with my old prescription. I was told to go home and try them out because it’s a new prescription and I would have to get used to them. Keep in mind I’ve worn glasses for over 50 years and have had many new prescriptions. Made another appointment at the same office with another doctor

Always feel like these guys care about my well being, instead of just making money on glasses or up charges. They've been great about sending our scripts anywhere we choose to buy glasses, without a single complaint.
Would have given 5 stars, but it can be difficult to order glasses at times. I've been told it's necessary to make an appointment to try on and order glasses, but I think that may have been a mistake (possibly just a new person unsure of their process).
