Once Upon A Time Child Care is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission or NAC, an organization with impeccable childcare standards. This accreditation is a clear reflection of our steadfast commitment to providing exceptional care for young children. We have received the Gold Circle of Quality from ExceleRate Illinois, the state's new quality recognition and improvement system for early learning and development programs.
The Gold Circle of Quality recognizes programs which have demonstrated quality on all 17 standards, as validated by an independent assessor. Gold Circle programs meet or exceed specific quality benchmarks on learning environment, instructional quality, and all program business standards; group size and child ratios; provider qualifications; and professional development.

Services
Demand for daycare facilities continue to grow day by day, but all too often, institutions are only able to focus on either allowing the child to enjoy their childhood and develop naturally or forcing the child to focus only on mental development in order to achieve high test scores later on in life.
To ensure developmentally appropriate practices in caring for and educating enrolled children, we use The Creative Curriculum. A standardized curriculum package and assessment tool published by Teaching Strategies and the Illinois Early Learning Standards.
The Creative Curriculum includes child-initiated and teacher-directed activities and experiences offered to young children that support and enrich their development socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively.OUAT uses the Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos and the Creative Curriculum for Preschool as guides for planning the curriculum in each of its classrooms.

We have used Once Upon a Time for our first child since she was 8 weeks old. We love the Infant Room and everyone so far has been so pleasant and kind. I visited several other day cares in the area and none of them compared to the oversight and attention the infant room received from Ms. Paris and Ms. Sara. My daughter loves them as well and I have comfort that when I cannot be with her, she is in safe hands with care givers who care for her well being.

This place is garbage! They hit my friends kid more than once and when my friend tried to resolve it the manager was oddly always "busy" or "out of the office" even for scheduled meetings. The staff were also rude, played it off as a joke and not accommodating at all! I also have a client who use to work there and she confirmed that they do in fact hit the kids when disciplining... I do not recommend this place at all
