We want to thank Gipson Pendergrass People’s Mortuary for changing what had been a difficult situation into a remarkably smooth and supportive process. We had no prior experience in this area and were warmly and efficiently guided by Gipson and Wanda. They completely respected our objectives and presented several options for us to consider. Throughout our time in Smithville they were genuinely friendly and accommodating. Thank you so much. The Copeland family.

I am very grateful that my Dad was in the hands of Mr. Gipson and those at Pendergrass funeral home. They made the unfortunate experience of losing our Father so suddenly much easier with their love and compassion and understanding. They were willing to go out of their way to help us as needed, even so kind as to treat us to lunch just to bless us. They offered a personal touch that is often forgotten these days. Thank you so very much. God bless you.

Gipson Pendergrass People's Mortuary made the process dealing with my father's death easier. Gipson and Wanda took their time with me, my wife, my sister, and brother-in-law. They both made sure that we understood each and every step/process and price before moving on to the next. Gipson asked us questions and asked us to ask him questions at any moment. When a question was asked he made sure we understood it completely before moving on. On the funeral day he made sure we liked the setup in his chapel 100% before the service started. I would recommend Gipson Pendergrass People's Mortuary to everyone

First, I'd like to say that their website has a complete breakdown of all of their charges. Not a "price range" but an exact breakdown. I looked at several funeral homes in the area and didn't find another who provided that information.
From the moment they arrived at our home, the staff was considerate and respectful. Later, as we walked through what needed to be done, the staff was thoughtful without being grim; there was sympathy, not pity.
They gave us the time to make decisions without pressuring us, they gave us all of our options and, more importantly, asked what WE wanted from them. Being
