Cute winery but since there was no music that Sunday our experience consisted of a tour and wine tasting; both with our young guide. She was bubbly and enthusiastic but bad mouthed the "slightly nutty" and "drama queen" owner who thinks he is related to the silent movie star of the same last name, "but probably isn't".
She went on to tell us about a gentleman who would be taking over but she was adamant that he "just keep running the winery and not the business part" for whatever reasons.
It was not professional and we were uncomfortable with this

Exceptionally bad wine and slow service. Really the only positive was the grounds were stunningly beautiful and well-kempt, which is why Bernhardt gets 2 stars instead of 1. Lots of places to sit in both sun and shade. Really wish the wine was better so that we could stay longer and enjoy the weather.

This place takes all my money! The Dulce Blanco is my favorite and I buy it buy the case! It’s made of muscadine grapes and you can richly taste them in the wine at a nice 12% alcohol volume. Everything else including the concerts, food trucks, and other amenities are just extras! I had to become a member because I love their wine!

We visited as a group for my friends' birthdays. We were a few hours late to our reservation, but they still accommodated us, which was super nice of them! We met one of the owners, and he welcomed us very warmly.
We each had a wine flight of 6 wines - sauvignon blanc, rose, cabernet, merlot, blanco dulce, and blush. My favorites were the sauvignon blanc and rose! That surprised me, because I'm usually a red person. They also had a large charcuterie board for us full of cheeses, crackers, fruits! So thoughtful.
It was rainy outdoors, but there are cute barndoors that made for cute

Nothing but glowing reviews for this beautiful estate vineyard and winery. I live in the area and can attest to the idyllic setting. Located in farm-country, in Grimes county Texas, this beautiful manor is well worth the drive. The scenery as you drive west on highway 105, from I45, is a calming and a welcome change from the hectic pace of the big city. The vineyard is green and plush and the estate is stunning. As for the owner, he saw me taking photos from the road approaching the vineyard and stopped to invited me on to the estate to take all the videos and photos that I wanted. A seriously

Came with a group of 12 ladies for my 32nd birthday and had such a horrible experience.
I own a party bus company in Houston and we decided to take one party bus to the winery and have a great time. The first thing that we hear from Trish when we walk in is, oh have y'all been barhopping? Mind you it's 2 pm!
I paid for everyone so there wouldn't be multiple transactions, as a courtesy. Once everyone was done using the restroom, it was like she was trying to get us out of her way and told us to go into a big empty room which was their wine tasting room which had two bars that tastings

I've passed this winery many times on the way to college station and finally decided to pull off the 105 and give it a try. I paid ten dollars for a wine tasting which had generous pours and allowed me to try a few additional wines over the 6 I was promised.
The grounds are well maintained and has multiple nice patios. The night I came they were holding a concert in the lawn and had a couple food trucks.
I recommend this winery to anyone passing by! Good wines and scenery!

Absolutely lovely winery. My first wine tasting ever and Brenda (who is as sweet as she is sassy) made the visit extra special with her knowledge and casual presentation for us. And the wines were incredible. Can't wait to visit again and to take advantage of the outside concert!
This is a must stop if you're ever in the area!

Beautiful place! Very busy with weddings and wine tastings going on. We were very disappointed with our tasting experience however. We had to stand outside in the 90+ degree heat. If I had known that I probably would have passed. It was not fun. We were all sweating and the red wine was warm. No. The ideal temperature for red wine is 62-68. (Google it) she was very knowledgeable about the wines but sped thru them quickly.
Then we got the tiniest pours I've ever seen. Maybe a tablespoon of wine.
Later we sent to Cork This in Montgomery. The picture I'm posting is their idea of a wine

This was supposed to be the end and highlight of a day of wine tasting. And driving up to the winery, it looked like it would keep that promise. The area is laid out beautiful and invited to hang out and relax with a good glass of wine.
Coming in, however, provided a quick reality check. Our party of 6 was told that having individual tastings that are not all going to be the same was "too complicated" and our host (not sure that term applies) bossed most of us into doing what she wanted whether they liked it or not.
When we then tried to buy a bottle to drink in the outdoor area we

We visited Bernhardt Winery as part of a 3-part tour from the Brazos River Valley. I'm happy to say that this place was by far the best in our tour, but also sad to say that because this was the last stop, I was a little wined out and probably wasn't able to enjoy the wines here as much as I had wanted to.
The venue of Bernhardt itself deserves a star. It has a beautiful interior and various maintained plants and greenery around the entrance make for a quaint and cozy atmosphere. Archways with vines and plants climbing their way up the stone bricks creates a feeling of secrecy. There

Our experience at Bernhardt was wonderful. Staff did not feel flustered when many arrived at the same time. They were welcoming and friendly. The wine tasting well conducted and the person was knowledgeable. We enjoyed every minute and will return.
There is outside seating and shady. When we arrived it was too hot. If we had arrived later in the evening we could have sat outside.

Had a great visit to Bernhardt for one of their Sunday evening concerts. Despite a hot day in the 90s, with the shaded venue area and a breeze, it was a perfect evening. Great property, and the staff was quite good and professional. You can reserve a table for the concert for $20 (in addition to your admission tickets), but we opted just to bring chairs and a blanket, which worked well for us (though I'd consider getting a table in the future, if that made sense). Bernhardt allows you to bring in a picnic basket or cooler, so long as you're not bringing in your own wine or other alcohol

I would like to take up permanent residence at Bernhardt Winery! My husband and I drive from Houston at least twice a year, usually with an overnight stay as they are also a Bed and Breakfast. May 13 was the first Soleil Wine Club pick up party and it was a blast! We tasted a "young" Cab Sauv and one of their Ports from small oak barrels. There were four pizzas to choose from, fresh made in a wood-fired oven. We had our pick of the entire wine inventory to build our four. As Soleil Wine Club members, we saved 10%!
It was great fun and I highly recommend you join as soon as possible

What a gorgeous season for a wine tasting event! My husband won a drawing for a complimentary 20 persons winery tour. Typically, it runs $15/person or $400 for group or so.
Here's the down low for a wine tour:
-1 hour wine tasting tour
-tasting for six choices mix of white, red, sweet, regular, dry
-tour of how the wines are made
-story behind the wine
Ms Robin did an exceptional, professionally presentation of the tour. She was excellent and knowledgeable of the wines presented.
Two nice tables were set up ready for a wine tasting. She went around with 6 diff bottles and gave a snippet
