Credit Unions are unique financial institutions. You, the member, are owners of the Credit Union. The money you put into your Credit Union represents an equity interest. It is more like buying a stock than making a deposit. That is why credit union's refer to the returns you earn on your accounts as dividends instead of interest.
Membership is open to everyone who lives, works, or owns property in the Questa School District. This includes Questa, Cerro, Red River, Costilla, Amalia, and the surrounding areas. The Questa Credit Union does have a $1.00 joining fee and requires that you have a minimum balance of $25.00 in your savings account to be considered an active member.
Questa Credit Union NEVER requests your personal account information through email, phone call or text message. If you receive calls or emails asking to verify your information never give out any of your information. You should report any calls of this nature to the Federal Trade Commission, their address is www.ftc.gov.

The store manager, Katherine Flory went above and beyond to assist me, even though I was not a member at the time. Due to her display of such a high level of character, I will be opening an account. I want to work with an organization that is led by someone who does the right thing for the right reason. Katherine reminded me that there are still quality people out there…thanks Katherine Flory!!
