Face coverings are optional to enter at all locations - San Saba, Burnet and Fredericksburg. This place is an unexpected gem, unpretentious in a friendly town where people learning the names of seasonal visitors and deer hunters is the norm. The wine however suggests something far more than fancy. I have visited many wineries - in California as well as Texas - but have never had such an enjoyable tasting experience as what I've had here.
While I have historically bought a bottle or maybe two at some wineries (sometimes out of sympathy), my first tasting at Wedding Oak made me want to buy multiple bottles each of several different varieties - white and red. My recommendations: Terra Blanc, Terra Rouge, Regency Bridge Red, Tioja (the absolute best), Sangiovesse, and Tempranillo.

Services
Wine is about the shared pleasures of life - slowing down long enough to appreciate the blessings of the land while enjoying local food and wine with friends, family and community. That's where we began. We take our inspiration and name from the majestic, 400 year-old oak tree, known as the Wedding Oak Tree, which grows about 2.5 miles northwest from the winery.
Wedding Oak Winery is committed to making Texas wines that celebrate our Texas terroir and wine-growing conditions. Seth is a Houston native, having graduated from St. Thomas Episcopal High School and Texas A&M. He completed his Master of Science in Food Science and Technology, with Concentration in Enology, at Cornell University.
Complimentary Tasting or Glass of Wine for you and three others, every time you visit one of our locations (limited to one per person, per visit - certain exceptions may apply for specific events). Invitations to Special Events just for you and your guests, such as Blending Trials, Vertical Tastings and Wine Education Seminars.
The town of San Saba is home to several picturesque parks offering a variety of activities and is in easy reach of Colorado Bend State Park. Our local parks are a photographer's dream with many beautiful backdrops for photos and picnics. Mill Pond Park is a lovely park with a spring-fed lake. A waterfall cascades over rocks landscaped with ferns, moss, canna and caladium.
Wedding Oak Winery is located in the heart of downtown San Saba in the beautiful Texas Hill Country - just 87 miles northwest of Austin and 22 miles south of Goldthwaite. Our tasting room and winery are located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 190 and U.S. Highway 16. San Saba is widely known as the Pecan Capital of the World; now it is home to two wineries and many other attractions.

I took a day trip with my mom to San Saba to trace some family roots there and came upon the Wedding Oak Winery. The inside is warm and welcoming with a variety of wedding themed wines. Although I did not drink any wine, the best part of my time there was meeting Belle the manager. She was amazing and very helpful and went above and beyond for my mother who was looking to find the building her grandfather owned in the 1930’s. She pointed us in the direction of the visitors center down the street but not before she told us the history of the wedding oak tree. Fortunately we found the building

Love Wedding Oak! We are part of the wine club but live out of town, so we only get to stop by a few times a year. They always remember us, and make us feel at home as soon as we walk in the door. The wine is as great as the service. Mike is amazing, and Belle is our favorite face. Don’t pass this place by on your trip through San Saba.

Great place! Great wine! Wonderful people!
We stopped in for a tasting on our way home and we’re not disappointed! We had a fabulous time talking to the staff about the wine selections and were pleasantly surprised that they didn’t make us feel silly in spite of how unfamiliar we are with wines.
I especially appreciate how they were interested in our own interpretations of their favorite wines.
Highly recommend that you get here as soon as you can to enjoy this gem. Plan to take your time on their great outdoor space!

This winery is amazing. I bought 2 bottles for my wife and had a glass while there. Also collecting a few prizes (gifts) for the wife. The lady behind the counter gave me some great history of what I drank and what I bought and was super amazing. There is an outside area that is absolutely beautiful, wish I would have took more pics. I will share what I did take tho. Like the dude from Reading Rainbow said, “don’t take my word for it!” Check it out, surely will bring you smiles.

Absolutely love wedding oak. They have been consistent in their wines and also in their service. Absolutely love the back patio to sit to enjoy a glass. Highly recommend it. They do not rush you like some of the 290 wineries do. You can make a day of it. I have taken several friends and they all love it also.

Cute place with quite a few awards for several varieties of wine. Nice atmosphere. I really can't tell you anymore than that. I have no idea about taste or prices. There was a line and it was moving right along until it came to the gentleman in front of us. We could tell from the conversation that he is a member and that he and his wife know the owner well. We did tell her a couple of times that we were not in a hurry, but then it got out of hand. You should at least offer us a glass of wine while we wait.

Wow! Belle was absolutely amazing! The wines were amazing but the service was even better. We will be here all week and plan to come back and buy a few bottles. Today I just did a tasting. Belle even helped us pick some places to go eat this week. I've worked retail my entire life and I would hire her in a heartbeat! So friendly and full of smiles. Keep her and treat her right. Employees like this are hard to find!

The wines are Texas local and they're good. We had a fantastic time with Meghan assisting us in our selections.
We parked our RV in the parking area behind their tasting room. Plenty of space! Our little dog was even allowed to tag along.
We had so much fun while we were there. What a great group of folks!

I picked up a bottle of 2015 Regency Bridge back in April but have been waiting for the right occasion to crack it open. I had two old Army friends over for dinner last weekend and it turned out to be a great choice with my own smoked brisket (12 hours over oak, peach, and mesquite) plus bacon-covered baked beans and roast potatoes. The blend of Graciano, Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Tannat was the perfect complement to the smoky barbecue. Excellent wine - I wish I had bought two bottles!

Loved the cute location and their sweet wines are incredible. The wine prices seem a little high but I don't mind paying for quality and I really have enjoyed our wines from them. We did have an issue with a bottle becoming slightly unsealed but we discovered we had stored the bottle improperly. Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic wine grown in the high plains and pressed and processed in the hill country. Can't ask for a more Texan way to make wine! The owner was incredibly nice and gave us a personalized tour of the storage and processing rooms. He took his time to explain the wine making process in depth, and it was very obvious that this man was incredibly passionate about the wine business. The wines were amazing - you NEED to visit this winery if you are visiting or simply passing through San Saba!

Please consider moving out of the Wildseed Farm location in Fredericksburg so they can return to selling nice, cold beers to thirsty Texans instead of below average wine to folks acting like they enjoy wine when all they really want is beer!
Also, please don't pour my second wine sample into the glass same glass that contains 1/4 of the first tasting! In addition, would it be too much to ask for a clean glass when you switch from white tasting to red tastings?
Wine WAY overpriced. Taste below average except for Viognier which was pretty good.

I personally found it a little odd that the winery is in one place, the tasting room is in another and the tree for which it is named is not at either of these locations.
As an ex-wine country resident, I thought their wine was average. The tasting experience was sub-par (with the little wine tasting measuring lids, etc. are they unable to judge on their own?). Not to mention, they had seven wines available to taste the day we arrived, but the tasting only allowed for six different wines. Also, you get ONE tasting waived for every TWO bottles of wine you buy. Poor business practice overall in
