Everyone adores Appetizers! Our executive chef has created menus with you the host in mind. A variety of passed hors devours, chef attended carving stations, chilled stations and buffet menus are offered giving you the ultimate choice to customize your menus to perfection. Jumbo shrimp seated on a blanket of romaine lettuce, complemented by carved lemon and Chef Joseph's zesty cocktail sauce.
Bountiful, beautifully arranged buffet featuring decorative baskets, tiered displays & props. Popular condiments, wait staff, buffet table linen, china plates & stainless steel utensils. Consuming raw or under cooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of food borne illness, especially if you have a medical condition.

Gary's catered our wedding in September. They gave us the wrong chicken that we had ordered. Not the end of the world it was still decent. Not great but good. But it was pretty disappointing. The food was lukewarm and not seasoned all that much. More so quantity over quality, which is expected with catering usually. The staff was very polite and helpful with cleaning up the tables and serving everyone at the buffet. Not entirely sure if I would recommend to anyone. The pricing was fine.

Sheri went above and beyond for us to make our special day worth it. We had a few things come up along the way like various food allergies. Sheri was a JOY! She was very responsive and cooperative and made us feel at ease having them cater our wedding this past weekend. The tenderloin melted in your mouth! Yum!

I had my oldest son's graduation party catered by Gary's in 2017, and loved them so much that I booked my younger son's graduation party for 2020. Well, we all know what happened that year. Thankfully, Gary's worked with me throughout the pandemic, I switched dates on them multiple times (because nobody knew what was going on), and they were patient and thoughtful and allowed me to switch the dates without penalty or losing my deposit. From the first moment Sheri answered the phone, I knew I had the right place. I lost my husband 04/20/2020 and have waited to have his Celebration of Life until now. Sheri helped me pick out the best food for a backyard bbq. Little did I know that Chef Tim would show up and cook the BEST hamburgers over a real charcoal grill and that the sides would be so incredible. The roasted baby potatoes were unbelievable. I hired Gary’s for both my daughters’ grad parties. In 2018 and again just recently in July 2021. The food, service and communication were all excellent. Sheri contacted me to confirm everything even before it came up on my “things to do” list. I did the big bbq with a grill master and it was perfect for an open house. Hot off the grill for hours. What really made them stand out was the staff. They were so kind to my guests, did a fantastic job, and left my backyard, kitchen and serving tables clean and organized. I will definitely hire Gary’s again.

Gary's was recommended to us by our Coordinator Cindy and for good reason. They provided great food for our wedding at a great price. They brought it out in a refrigerated truck and setup fast and beautifully. The guests couldn't get enough! Chicken and red pepper pasta was my favorite, and the mushrooms were everyone's.

Gary's did a great job catering our wedding last week. We had approx 100 guests and everyone complimented how great the food was. The entire process from the initial consult to the tasting to the event was easy and smooth. We did Summer BBQ mix and match and everything tasted great- having the ability to have the grill on site was a nice touch. Would highly recommend for any party needs- great food and great price, very professional.

First of all, in spite of the fact that most of the previous reviewers have had positive experiences with Gary's Catering at large events, this is not the case with me. I dine alone.
You see, every day (Monday through Friday), at about 12:15pm a gal from Gary's arrives and offers a variety of hot meals, cold sandwiches, cold drinks and a few other items. She offers to take credit cards, but old-fashioned as I am, I always pay with cash.
The best part is that she brings them right outside of the building where I work. No delivery fees, no outside DashingDoors or EatAbove or anything

I used Gary's Catering for my daughters first birthday party last Sunday. We had the BBQ chicken, pulled pork, mac & cheese, baked beans, coleslaw & fruit! Everyone who attended raved how good the food was!!! It was absolutely delicious!! Sheri was amazing with helping us put together our menu!! Gina was incredibly helpful & went out of her way to make our party a complete success! I recommend Gary's Catering and will definitely be using them again!

They have a good truck and iv tried 3 different items 3 different times. I got sick the first two times but like an idiot I took my chances a third time. This time I got a cold item, a sandwich. It was a soggy nasty mess. Not good at all. Everything is over priced and just down right dosnt taste good. Very disappointed and will never be purchasing food from them again. I'd rather waste the gas to go get real, and better tasting food for my lunch breaks.

This is the second time we hired Gary's Catering for an event, first my daughter's grad party and then my husband's 50th. Both times the food was excellent and the staff was very professional! Guests raved about the food! Even the setup and tear down was flawless. I couldn't be more pleased and I highly recommend Gary's!

Hired Garys to cater and BBQ for friends at my house this weekend. I couldnt have been more pleased, in fact they even fixed a vapor lock on my grill for me, that was keeping the temp from going as high as it should. Who knew? Sheri at Garys Catering knew. I was in Michigan for a Graduation party over the weekend. I had to post, as they had the best fresh BBQ menu featuring juicy huge burgers, Italian Chicken with Fresh Basil, Sweet Italian Sausage with Chef sautéd onions and Peppers! I asked who the caterer was and the host told me Gary's Catering! I was full, but kept going back to the grill station for more! Inside they had a beautiful display of sides. Gary's Catering handled their desserts also. Delicious chocolate raspberry cake and array of awesome cookies! Oh yeah, really friendly staff too!

We hired Gary's for our wedding and not only was it a better value than anywhere else we called, the food was great! All of our guests complimented the beef tenderloin.

Hired Gary's catering for a Cinco De Mayo party at the campground. I wasn't sure how much food I needed to feed 100+ people who were coming and going throughout the day- Tina was very helpful and her estimates were accurate, plenty of food to go around! The food was awesome and staff was helpful.
They were referred to me by a friend who loved eating their food from a large corporate event. I would reccomend this local company- they were timely, professional, affordable, and most of all the food was great!

Catering for 500 people across 3 shifts! The food was hot, the pie was cold, and plates were full! This is by far the tastiest large-scale lunch I've eaten. The mashed potatoes were actually mashed and not whipped. The stuffing was dense and flavorful.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn't order the food or participate in price negotiations so I can't comment on that aspect of the business.

I am SO glad I chose Gary's Catering to cater my wedding reception. From the first phone call with Sheri, I knew I made a great choice. She was amazing to work with - courteous, professional, prompt, friendly - and she really worked with my budget. Since we lived far away from our reception location, Chef Joseph set up a tasting session outside of their normal business hours to accommodate us. In the days (weeks, months) leading up to the wedding, Sheri continuously checked in on me and accommodated all of my last minute changes and requests with no trouble. My son and daughter in law were married about a month ago and we chose Gary's Catering based upon a friends referral. We couldn't have been happier with the choice. We met with Sheri who listened (really listened !) to what we were looking for and then she made it happen.

We hired Gary's to cater our wedding and they were horrendous overall. They arrived late to the venue, struggled to get the food set up in time for the cocktail hour, and ran out of alcohol 30 minutes before last call. Then, at the end of the night they yelled at both the bride and groom's mothers, calling them both liars. Based on our math, they brought enough alcohol for 3.5 drinks per drinking age person, which at a wedding is not nearly enough. Finally, they left the venue early and left a massive mess around the building. This is a terrible company and I don't recommend them

My wife and I selected Chef Joe and Gary's catering for our caterers. Their representatives were incredibly helpful throughout the process. During the taste testing, they brought out a variety of foods - and variations - to sample. Even after we decided, they were very opening to modifying their seasonings. At no point did we feel as though we were bothering them with our ideas and suggestions. Gary's Catering did a fantastic job at my wedding reception at the Wixom Community Center. We got complements on the food all night and the staff was great. They were so polite and accommodating. Gary's catered my wedding in 2006. Granted, that was a long time ago and things may have changed, but our disappointment and anger at the way their staff behaved at our event and their lack of response to my very polite letter after the event compels me to share my experience.
Gary's catered our backyard wedding. I communicated well with them and made it clear that a few things were very important to us: one, that they leave all the wine bottles so we could count and recycle them, and two, that they were not allowed to leave trash on site.
