Dr. Newell and his staff work as a team to provide our patients with the highest quality orthodontic treatment in a professional and caring atmosphere. Our clinics provide orthodontic treatment for children and adults ranging from limited tooth movement with retainers, full treatment with fixed appliances, cleft lip and palate, and complex orthognathic surgical cases.

We also work with your family dentist as well as numerous other dental specialists to coordinate your orthodontic care. The appliances and treatment we provide is based on the latest research which enables us to achieve your desired result efficiently. We look forward to meeting with you and helping you achieve the beautiful smile you desire.
Services
Most people choose to have orthodontic treatment in order to have a healthy, beautiful smile. It will improve your self-image and increases your confidence in yourself. Most of our patients are children, but approximately 30% are adults. When your orthodontic treatment is completed you will have a great smile - which you will want everyone to notice!
It has been said that "An informed consumer is our best customer." This is especially true in the delivery of health care services. What should you expect during your first visit to the orthodontist?

You should be told what problems exist; what tests are necessary to properly diagnose the problem and formulate a treatment plan; and in the case of a child, whether now is the appropriate time to begin treatment or whether it is best to wait until a future date to initiate treatment.
The initial examination appointment is to determine if orthodontic treatment is necessary and to determine whether you are ready to begin treatment. If you are ready to start treatment, pre-treatment records can be taken at that appointment, or they can be scheduled at a later date. If you are not yet ready to start treatment, then you will be kept on an observation status.
We schedule our record appointments at the offices in Spirit Lake and Windom. Those offices are equipped with our digital radiography machines, which use extremely low levels of radiation to take our x-rays but still produce extremely high quality images. A panorex x-ray to assess boney support, tooth development, check for extra or missing teeth or unseen pathology.
Most patients we see do not have the adequate space for their wisdom teeth. They will be evaluated upon completion of your treatment and you will be advised whether removal will be necessary or not. We normally take preventative measures to limit the tendency for relapse such as fiberotomies and frenotomies.

"Dr. Newell and staff are incredibly kind and friendly to patients, caring for the ortho needs for my son is so well done there. We are blessed to have such great people where we live to do this kind of care on ortho patients. Who really likes going to the dentist anyways, they make it easier that's for sure"

Everyone that works there is extremely friendly and helpful. They listened to all of my concerned and helped with anything that was bothering me, they were also very understanding if I ran a little late to my appointments. I would reccomend them to anyone at any age, especially if you want to go somewhere affordable, professional and respectful.
