First Presbyterian Child Care was established as a ministry by First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange in 1997, with the goal of providing affordable, quality child care in a Christian context for families in the LaGrange area. The Center is licensed by Bright From The Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and is guided by a Board of Directors approved by the Church Session.

Services
Our culturally diverse Center "Where Children Come First" is open to families of all faiths, nationalities and races. Beginning with children as young as 6 weeks to as old as 5 years, our curriculum promotes spiritual, emotional, physical and cognitive development training. The programs have been designed with age appropriate learning experiences and are sensitive to each child's developmental stage.
Infants may begin our program as early as six weeks old. It is difficult for most new parents to leave their infant in the care of others. Therefore, it is our responsibility to work closely with parents to insure the best possible care for their child. Parents are always welcome visitors in the center.
Our Toddler program is marked by the rapid development of children who are now able to walk, feed themselves, drink from a cup, sleep on a cot/mat, and say real wordsand sentences. It is the task of the teachers in these rooms to help facilitate these natural developments and interests with opportunities for safe exploration.
Our Three and Four year old program builds upon the achievements and developments of the infant, toddler, and two year old programs. The three and four year old caregivers lead the children through hands on activities designed to build positive self image, improve eye hand and large motor coordination, broaden oral language, encourage exploration of pre- writing skills and math, and encourage creativity and problem solving.
