As tough and beautiful as a wood floor is, it's really no match for a family. Every generation wears down the finish with spills, drops, grit tracked in on shoes, shifting furniture, and worst of all, the scrabbling claws of family pets. The good news is that the damage usually isn't permanent. Most wood floors can be refinished, which involves sanding away a paper-thin layer off the top and then applying coats of clear polyurethane finish.

Update after work was completed. Changing my rating to 4 stars now and this time Paul and his team were very responsive and everything turned out fine. Seems like Paul is going to take the business to the next level and cares about his customers.

Paul at Walk on Wood was terrific. He kept us posted on progress and his guys were terrific. We couldn't be happier with the work or the price. They were on-time, worked hard, cleaned up every day and were personable and professional. We are delighted with the work they did and recommend them 100 percent. I'm certain this was a "small job" for them, but they never faltered in providing exceptional service. Thank you Paul and your crew. Highly recommend you! If quality is what you are looking for - give these guys a call. Very professional, timely, and they really do a great job with wood floors. It took a couple weeks for them to start on our house after the initial consultation / quote, but the wait was well worth it. We will be using these guys again very soon on our vacation rental. 5 STARS!

Initially when I wasn't happy with the flooring, Paul worked hard to ensure I was happy with the flooring and he produced the final project beyond the scope of my expectations. He immediately fixed my flooring and worked with my schedule amidst dealing with my frustrations. In the end, I was very satisfied with the flooring and I know that the company gave me a really good price for what I got...which was a professionally done flooring for my kitchen at my house on S Kihei.
