While The Meredith Inn has a grand and historic feel, our relaxed atmosphere provides a great experience for families and adults alike. We've created a menu that consists of a wide variety of options for every guest. Our taproom features twelve domestic and craft draft beers, seasonal cocktails, and a thoughtful selection of wines and spirits.
Built as a home in the early 1900's and then serving as the Armstrong County YMCA for over five decades, The Meredith Inn now exists to fondly recall generations of memories as well as introduce new concepts in dining and events to our beautiful hometown. Casual upscale dining, please come as you are!

Services
At The Meredith Inn we provide an atmosphere of casual upscale dining, there is no dress code just come as you are! William Boling Meredith was born in Kittanning in 1839. His entire life was spent in Kittanning influencing a variety of business and public service functions, such as iron manufacturing, water supply, land development, banking, medicine, and the Pennsylvania militia.
We have a small parking lot located to the right and rear of the building. The lot sits behind the fence of the Meredith Inn lawn. There also is plenty of public parking available on the block including North Water Street, Market Street, North Jefferson Street, and Arch Street. There are coin operated meters on these streets that take nickels and dimes only.

We didn't have a reservation so we ate at the bar. The service was top notch. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu. I was only having a beer but she hard at work mixing cocktails . The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice . I will be returning to have more of that menu.

Our first trip here and it didn't disappoint. Overall is was a nice atmosphere, very friendly and the house is very well done. The food turned out to be very good, no complaints other than maybe the price being on the high side. Unfortunately thats where things are today with inflation. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the portions were nice size. They didn't skimp on anything, even the basic side salads were loaded.

Was in Kittanning for annual Dental cleaning and my brother told me about this place, so we decided to go there for supper. WOW, what an amazing place! Recently renovated previous YMCA building that was actually build at the turn of the century (1900), and it was incredible. Menu was great and the Cod was the best I ever had! Service was great, bartender was super, atmosphere was unbelievable right on the Allegheny River! I don't do it often but I Strongly recommend this place, you will love it!!!

So I have yet to dine in here but I will say that the takeout is A1! I was so impressed by the raviolis I had, that parsnip purée was such a nice touch, I've always thought they were an underrated root veg and I love seeing them used. I wasn't a fan of the chicken parm sauce, that's totally just me I'm very picky, but my boyfriend had absolutely no complaints and said he would order it again. The steak on the salad was a real steak, love to see it, and I would for sure recommend it for a lunch or app. I loved the beet salad, the dressing was great, I'm always happy to

We celebrated my mother's 75th Birthday with a nice dinner at the Meredith Inn. She's been wanting to try it after reading about it. Great location right on the river and is beautifully restored! No detail has been missed inside. The chef had some really great lentos specials that were delicious. We started with hot pretzel sticks with assorted meats and cheeses with garlic roasted peppers served with a good grainy mustard and a beer cheese for dipping. Coquille St. Jacques was great with nice chunks of scallops, shrimp, mushrooms with a great white wine and gruyere cheese sauce served

First visit to this beautiful Inn. We had dinner with 2 other couples and our server Quinn was awesome! Drinks were all excellent. The stuffed mushroom and smoked egg appetizers were so tasty. We ordered ribs, cod and the special pork loin- we all loved our entrees. Everything was hot upon arrival and the salads were refreshing with lemon vinegarette dressing being awesome. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning again.

The place is beautifully decorated and the food is wonderful. However, they have some service issues to deal with. We sat for at least 10 minutes before the server showed up to pour water we ordered drinks and waited at least another 10 minutes for them to come. The food came sporadically we waited a long time and then everything seemed to come at once. Some of the items are a little overpriced as well and the bread is terrible. But once they get these issues figured out I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner with views of the river.

No one makes steak better than I do. Always disappointed when I order out.... not here... tasty done to perfection. Love the atmosphere and great service. Have been there twice and really pleased both times. Love catching trout and don't care for eating it. The trout is even good here. Going Friday for lunch can't wait

So-so. Not impressed with the seating, service or food. Tables close and awkwardly placed. Cold vegetables and cold shoestring limp fries. Had the shrimp and the breading read far more interesting than it tasted and had a odd burnt oil taste. You can see everything happening in the kitchen. Had weird wood coasters. Not worth a return trip.

Maybe I shouldn't have gone on Halloween, because the service and the food were a fright. This casual, up-scale place located in a renovated mansion failed to live up to expectations. I saw their menu on the internet and thought it would be nice to try their Reuben egg roll appetizer and their tossed salad with smoked egg and pickled onions. Sounds good, huh. Well it would have been good if they would have included egg on the salad or gave enough pickled onion to actually taste it. The egg rolls had great eye appeal and were fried to perfection, but they had very little filling and were
