The Greenery Cafe

I was stupid and came after they closed (3:30 for January, but I came at 4:45...), but I luckily encountered the folks and they were nice enough to make a wrap for me! It's a filling avocado wrap with some chips on the side, and it saved me from having to find another vegetarian option for dinner. They're really nice!
Be warned, this is in the back of someone's house... I was surprised at where navigation was taking me, but there's a number of signs at the location to help you find the cafe seating / entrance.

The curry chicken sandwich at 3pm after a long flight and a couple wrong turns was perfect. Outdoor seating was a welcome touch.

We wanted to try this place due to the reviews and the name that sounded like great for vegetarians and vegans.
They might have some way to make dishes vegan, but the menu starts from extensive list of fish based dishes. And its a house like structure with small backyard seating, and parking right in the front yard.
Probably the name is the misnomer and made us to skip as our expectation was more around vegetarian food and a standard setup.

Cute, hidden gem in Kauai. A local friend told us about this place. We had the curry chicken salad sandwich. It was a good portion and the chicken salad was tasty :) I would order it again!

Watermelon juice is fresh and super refreshing.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming.

My gf and I decided to go here for the menu choices right before our flight back home. Unfortunately my gf did mental calculus wrong and found out we had less than an hour and half to get to the airport, drop off our rental car, go through AG and TSA, check our bags, and board the flight. But the people at the greenery were so accommodating and understanding of our situation that they expedited our order to help us on our way. We made our flight and had a delicious meal to hold us over on the 6 hour plane ride. Thank you greenery cafe for making this happen!

We tried the curry chicken sandwich, mung bean soup and humus black eyed peas wrap - and it was a real treat! Amazing place for lunch.

I live here on Kauai and this place has terrible service. The girl who took my order allowed a bunch of tourists to go in line ahead of me. She said that I should let them go ahead of me because they are with some other people who already ordered and sat down. So what does that have to do with me? Why do I have to allow the tourists to go ahead of me. She didn’t even ask me. She told me. Then told me I couldn’t order what I wanted because it would take to long. I only wanted the chicken salad. This little treasure is divinely scrumptious! The 3 of us shared a kale salad, avocado wrap, black eyed pea/hummus wrap, sides of black eyed peas, yams, and collard greens & cornbread. All was really flavorful and yummy!!

If I could give more stars I would. We got the fish plate with salty black eyed peas, cinnamon yams, citrusy collards, sweet cornbread and deliciously spiced fish and a yummy yogurt sauce and the fabulous hummus wrap with a lovely, flavorful seeded flatbread. The ginger tea was spicy and so good. Such amazing food and the nicest cook.

The family who began this ran into a stroke of genius. Definitely worth a visit especially if your stomach is feeling a little bit heavy. The soul food bbq chicken plate comes with quite an array of food, if you are craving more vegetables the vegetarian version is a great option.

This place is a treasure. To get to the location, google and you will find it. The restaurant has you order, and sooo FRESH. It was a nice spot to get some light but filling food. You are able to get fresh juice with your meal.

Service was great, and it is for sure a favorite among the locals.

I LOVE this place. It's hard to find vegan/vegetarian options anywhere in the world... but not on Kaua'i.

This place is absolutely awesome - I love the food. It's such an easy-going atmosphere, makes you want to take a day off and chill. My go to are the wraps and if I'm feeling risky and want to eat fish, I'll add fish ;-)

I've been visiting here for years and each time has been awesome and tasty! Whenever I'm on Kauai'i, I make it a point to drop in and get something fresh and great tasting!

Super fresh food!! Various gluten free and vegetarian options. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Highly recommend the chicken curry salad sandwich and the hummus sandwich.
They are very accommodating. Seating in this area is limited. Dishes take a while to be prepared.

This place was not too bad however the pluses did not outweigh the minuses in my opinion.

The Greenery is located in an old tiny house behind another old tiny house. It's kinda hard to find if you're not from Kauai. The parking is also very limited so good luck finding a "stall" (you park in the front yard)

The reason we checked it out was because it was a "healthy" option however the ahi wrap came with potato chips as its side. I dunno ... to me, it kinda defeated the purpose of checking out a "healthy" eating establishment when chips are your only option

What a gem! My husband and I both got wraps, he got the rosemary chicken and I got the avocado wrap, which both come with chips. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The perfect after flight food and it's only a 6 min drive from the airport. We topped it off with 2 fresh watermelon juices. We'll definitely be back on our way back home!

Adorable little tucked away garden cafe. Not the fastest service, but when your on Hawaii time, that doesn't really matter. Casual seating with plenty of shade in a beautiful garden. Food was healthy and delicious!

My husband and I were in search of something to take on our flight back to California to eat because airline food can be questionable at times and expensive for what you get. Thanks to yelp, I found this little treasure that exceeded all my expectations. It's an adorable outdoor cafe situated behind a residential home. Love this spot, both for the food and the vibe. If you're like us and it's your first stop after landing, you'll instantly feel welcomed and relaxed by the low key vibe of the greenery, sunshine, and casual dining area outside that feels like you're in someone's backyard (well, you kinda are). You'll probably even see several lizards dart around during your visit.

This cafe is a bare bones place in someone's garden, which is charming. The food is very simple and incredibly delicious. Worh the trek and the money, and for your money on an island? Your money will go farther here. Note: very nice clean bathroom and happy staff

Super neat little place. We had the Chicken Ceasar Salad and the Mahi Mahi fish wrap. It was excellent, fresh, and made for you! We will be going back and trying their other meals.

Cute spot in Lihue! Also not far from airport so if you are hungry when you land or leaving this would be a good option. Parking was tight here but we found a place on the side of the house.
