Services
After 12 years of working with national and regional environmental consulting firms, Mr. Roberts wanted to complete efficient and high quality investigation and remediation projects without the challenges faced by larger firms. As a result, Mr. Roberts created a unique environmental consulting firm that focuses on the needs of clients and not the administrative issues associated with corporations.
At Roberts Environmental, we're always interested in hearing from talented environmental professionals regarding their employment interests. Roberts Environmental Services, LLC, a growing environmental consulting firm with offices in Goshen and Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a Staff Geologist/Environmental Scientist for employment in our Goshen office.
A brownfield property is real estate that has redevelopment obstacles due to real or perceived environmental issues. Roberts has experience investigating and closing brownfield sites. These activities have included Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, soil, ground water, and vapor intrusion investigations, remediation, risk assessment, and ground water monitoring.
Underground storage tanks ("USTs") or ancillary equipment associated with USTs are common point sources of soil, ground water, and/or chemical vapor impacts. Causes of releases from UST systems range from corrosion to equipment failure; however, overfilling of the USTs and poor dispensing practices can also lead to soil and ground water contamination.
Due diligence for property transactions generally requires some type of environmental assessment to identify potential environmental liabilities. Typically, a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment ("ESA") is performed to identify recognized environmental conditions ("RECs") on a property.

A thorough Phase I ESA is essential in conducting all appropriate inquiries of a real property prior to a property transaction, which is needed to satisfy various liability protections under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act ("CERCLA").
