Mynatt Funeral Home is a family owned and operated business in Knoxville, TN, composed of 24 full-time and 12 part-time employees. We were founded in 1900 by the late Ernest Mynatt of Halls Crossroads, TN, where he and his son Kyle sold caskets out of Mynatt Hardware Store.
In 1929, after his father's passing, Kyle was intrigued by the funeral profession that he branched out the business into Fountain City, TN, to form our present location at 2829 Rennoc Rd.Kyle, along with his wife Wilma, proceeded to manage and operate Mynatt Funeral Home, and over the next few years our staff grew to include Walter E. "Bud" Coomer and wife Mary, Ronald Hill, and Buddy Coomer, son of Bud and Mary, as well as several others.

Mynatt Funeral Home is pleased to offer a vast array of products and design options when it comes to cemetery memorialization. We are now able to provide bronze markers that lie flat on granite and meet the requirements of local cemeteries. These may also be personalized, for one or more individual(s), and designed with or without a vase.
Ashley was absolutely amazing in planning my 4 month old son's funeral and I greatly appreciate her and everything she did. The whole staff at Mynatt's went out of their way to assist me and my family in the loss of my brother. Tim was especially helpful to me. He was kind and considerate to make sure all of my needs were met.

I’ve had the best experience with Mynatt Funeral Home when at the worst of times. I cannot stress the kindness, consideration, compassion and care they’ve shown me and my family. Their empathy doesn’t just end when picking up the death certificate, they reached out to make sure we were okay weeks beyond my mother’s passing. Now I know why my mother chose and trusted Mynatt to take care of us and why my family has used Mynatt for years. Thank you to the staff who have shown care to us throughout this process. We had a wonderful experience with this funeral home! We had a bad experience with another funeral home and they went above and beyond getting my sister to there funeral home! Tim was amazing to work with. He treated us more like family than a client! The whole staff went above and beyond to help us during our loss! The are wonderful wonderful people there!
