In addition, we explain how bail bonds work and what would be required if in fact you do decide to get a bail bond. Bonnie Plotkin Merrick founded Huntington Beach Bail Bonds to provide people with an alternative to the stereotypical bail bonds office. Bonnie has been a member of state, local and national bail bond associations for most of her career as a California Bail Agent.
Bail is a right guaranteed by the 8th amendment to the US Constitution. Bail is the part of the legal system that allows the accused to be temporarily released from jail so that they can continue their lives and mount a legal defense while they are awaiting their court case. In most criminal cases, bail is a sum of money that is posted to the court to guarantee the accused will make all of their court appearances.
Judges in each county determine the bail amounts for different criminal charges. For example, the bail amount for felony Domestic Violence is $50,000; assault with a deadly weapon or possession of narcotics for sale is $25,000; and a $10,000 bail for a second DUI. The cost for a bail bond is based on a percentage of the total bail amount.
Choosing the right bail bondsman to help you get your friend or family member out of jail can be a tough decision to make. We'd like to make it easier for you by sharing a quick tip to use when talking to your bail bondsman that will allow you to determine if. A common misconception people have about bail bonds is that you get the bail bond money back.

Awesome Service!!! This was my first time dealing with any bail bonds and I have to say I'm so glad i called them. Bonnie was the representative helping me and she was great. She talked me through everything over the phone and not even 30 min later was she there with me, helping me get my loved one out. She was professional, so nice, and covered everything from A-Z. If you're stuck in an unfortunate situation definitely give them a call!
