Pawleys Island Bakery was founded in 2010 to bring the community a full service retail bakery. Pawleys Island Bakery is owned by Max Goree, who was trained in France at LaVarenne, Ecole de Cuisine. Max has over 35 years of baking and food service experience. We strive to use local vendors and the freshest available ingredients. Pawleys Island Bakery is a family friendly business featuring a vast array of kid's goodies and gourmet treats.

Max & Staff Thank you so very much for the beautiful and delicious cake you prepared for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Everyone wanted to know who baked it so we are passing the compliments on to you. The cake truly added to the party so many, many thanks to you! My husband and I are new to the area and just found Pawleys Island Bakery. I'm glad we're 20 minutes away, or I would be there way too often. My Bismarck was amazing, and my husband said his Danish was the best he's had. So much better than any chain donut.

Little place with a decent selection. Danish was amazing, cookies were great and the velvet cheesecake was also very delicious.

We stopped for lunch nice quante little bakery with sandwiches pastries and coffee. Staff was courteous and friendly felt like a local shop like we wanted and food was worth stopping for if bakery items are on your list !

Stopped in Wednesday morning and as usual couldn't decide what to take home! Everything is so good! Would recommend you try cinnamon buns and the donuts----bet you can't just buy one!

Max did an excellent job of taking my cake vision and bringing it to life! We had a simple 2 tier cake with an additional sheet cake for a total of 3 different flavor/filling combinations. It has been 2 months and people are still talking about how delicious our wedding cake was! Highly recommend Max and his team at Pawley’s Island Bakery for any bakery needs!

Loved the cookies and other baked goods. My favorite is the lemon blueberry cookie -- it's like a very tasty moist scone. Chocolate chip, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, & oatmeal raisin cookies are also fantastic! The apple fritter and blueberry scone were great (even though the scone has the consistency more like a muffin than a traditional scone)! We got ten cookies, an apple fritter & a scone for $17. Terrific deal for such tasty treats!

Very nice bakery. The staff was very helpful and helped us to pick out some nice treats. Fun place to stop for a light breakfast or baked goods!
The smores cookie and the raspberry lemon cake were awesome...

Love the crumb buns and cinnamon rolls but I have tried many other treats as well. Several people I know love the ham egg and cheese on croissant or bagel
