Due to the size of Challis Hot Springs Inc's two pools, the facility cannot operate as a public pool without lifeguards. Since the business does not have lifeguards, it is run as a private facility, much like a hotel. As with a hotel with a pool, all registered guests may use the pool at their own risk.
Guests of all ages who are registered guests of the campground may use the pools. Guests who would like to utilize the pools for day use only must be 18 years of age or older. CHS Inc. cannot rent a campsite to a family with children under 18 who do not intend to spend the night in order to utilize the hot pools.

Every year we make the trek to Challis for the 3-day Braun Brothers Reunion Concert. We love the music and the people and we LOVE staying at Challis Hot Springs. Mike, the manager, and the camp hosts work like crazy that weekend to keep the place running smoothly. The natural hot springs pools are the best! Mike drains the water every night and the pools refill with crystal clear warm soothing water, so the morning soak is delightful...and much needed after a long day and night of concert going! The grounds are well-kept and the flowers are beautiful. Our deposit is made for next year!

Stayed here three nights. Beautiful, large, level gravel RV sites with grass and shade. Very quiet and dark at night. Mike made us feel very welcome. The large hot springs pool was around 99°, sparkling clean and very comfortable. The smaller hot pool was between 104 and 107 ° . We thoroughly enjoyed or stay and would go back again. BTW, I think there were 38 RV sites and around 20 tent sites.

Stayed here for a few days and was impressed. Grounds are clean, staff was helpful and friendly. The pools were clean and the RV spots roomy. Lots of tent space and dry camping, too. Good access to trails for hiking or riding. A nature trail exists next to the river and we enjoyed walking our dogs there. Beautiful views right from camp. A little removed from town, but worth the time to get there.

Great hot springs. The pools were clean and well kept. The staff were excellent and friendly. The grounds overall are very well taken care of. The only somewhat negative thing that can be said is that the campsites are very close together and organized in odd patterns to each other so its difficult to figure out where one site begins and another ends without camping on top of strangers. But I would recommended and plan on returning.

We visited October 2020 (couple’s trip) and we absolutely can’t wait to visit again. We seriously talk about it all the time - we had an amazing time here.
I chose this place randomly after we had been visiting Yellowstone and we needed to RELAX!
All of the staff were so friendly and we even got some great Idaho travel tips from a lady at the front desk. We had a perfect campsite and for the price you cannot beat it. Right on the river! Waking up to the sound of the river every morning was beautiful.
As for the pools... first off, this place should be adults only. It’s really not a place
