My husband placed calls to a few local companies to have someone investigate why we could not get our sprinkler pump primed. O'Hara's called us back the same day (actually, they were the only company to call us back), and set us up with an appointment. Keivan arrived on time, was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We had a suspicion, after my husband changed the check valve, that a new pump was probably in our future. Keivan felt it was the pump, but informed us that if that didn't solve the issue, there could be additional work needed and quoted us, what we felt, was a reasonable price.

I had a rep come out to my place to give me an estimate on capping my sprinklers in preparation for a swimming pool installation. The young fellow did not know how to work the sprinkler control panel, it appeared to me. Also, what he said should be done to cap the sprinklers was the total opposite of what the rep (with 28 yrs of experience) said should be done. To top it off, the company was supposed to email me the estimate and I have not heard from this company at all. I would never call this company again.

I called and asked what their hourly rate was.They said they give free estimates. I explained that I wanted an orchid watering system, and wanted him to loosen/change a frozen valve. No worries they said "free estimates" so I waited for them to come out. He did not have the right part to loosen/replace the simple valve, but said he has a$150 minimum. I was worried because I waited for him, so after much discussion I paid $75 a 5 minute job (literally) with the wrong part. On the advice of three of my neighbors in the Isles at Wellington, my husband and I decided to use O'Hara to service our irrigation system. When we asked them what they were paying a year for service (we all signed a contract), we were speechless!! Our one friend is paying $480 a year, the other friend is paying $260 a year, and a third friend (my next door neighbor) is paying $560 a year, and they are charging us $900 a year. Thousand Oaks uses these guys and I really wish they didn't. None of the landscapers can speak or understand english, nor do they respond to specific instructions about how to service your property.
After installing brand new sod, the crew came in and chopped the grass down to nothing, leading it to be burned out in the sun.
Told them to stay off the property and they continued to come back, leaving uneven cuts, spewing grass and debris all over the garden area, and further damaging the front lawn.
This service isn't a service at all.

I was quoted less than $400 to have my system repaired and serviced. The technician said he could lower the quote if I opted for an ongoing servicing contract. I opted to just have the repairs and servicing. I then received an updated quote by email with a cost of $500 for the same work to be done. I feel this was a bait and switch. I would not recommend using this company.

The gentleman who came out to fix my sprinklers today was SOO nice and explained his work and helped me reset my sprinkler panel to work correctly because I messed it up. He is such a great person to represent O'Hara ! The girl that I spoke with on the phone to answer my questions and set my service up was so nice too !

I schedule appointment. They were booked out week and half. Made appointment to come out on 05/11 between 9:00-11:00. I called around 10:00 to confirm. It turns out they put me down for Tuesday 05/12. Again the next day around 10:00 I called and was told they would not be able to make it out because they have a commercial job they are stuck on. I took 2 half days off work and they had no intention of coming out for repair. Could have told me Monday they were not going to make it out. Instead she confirmed they would be out next day. If you have time to waste for no show feel free to use them.

The technicians were very professional and conscientious; they even pulled out, bagged up and threw away grass that had grown up around the pump. They did a super job and I am very pleased. I called O'Hara Sprinkler because they had good reviews on Angie's List. When I called, they said that they couldn't get me in for two weeks, so I scheduled an 11AM appointment that was two weeks out. When the day came, I got a call at 10AM from the repairman saying he couldn't get to the house until 2-3PM. I waited until 4PM but heard nothing so I called the shop. The shop tried calling the repairman but he didn't answer his phone. Needless to say I had to cancel the appointment.

Excellent Service. They did exactly what they said they would. The repair man Joseph Montas was personable and went directly to the problem of the check valve not holding pressure when the system was off. Alex the owner answered the phone today and schedule another repair at another location. Very pleased with the whole process at a fair price.
