Last year, my wife Teena and I picked up our two boys and took what we thought would be a short vacation to Hawaii. But then we discovered Kauai. We fell in love with this place instantly and just knew it would be the perfect place to slow down and raise our kids. We had no intentions to start another business.

My experience with the Island Comfort sales person at Lowe's was great, he was engaging and very helpful.
The sales contract writer promised things that his installers would not do, such as location of AC in rooms, how the electrical was going to be run. I did not want conduit showing on the front of my house, the sales contract writer said that that wouldn't happen when the installers came. There needs to be better communication between what the sales contract writer promises and the installers. As the home owner I think that the conduit runs showing on the front of the home decreases curb appeal

Each technician, electrician, and surveyor was friendly, respectful, cared about the job they were conducting, and eagerly asked if I was satisfied with the job as it went along. Let me be honest in being clear we are NOT and will never be clients of Island Comfort. Simply because we don't like to be insulted and treated like idiots.
Rocky the estimator showed up with laminated sheets with pricing such as per hour labor charge - although that's supposedly included in the quote anyway, and warranty options. After 20 or so minutes at our house he presented us with a hand written "quote" which he wouldn't even let us keep. When I told him I'm honestly sticker shocked and asked to have it emailed properly with a breakdown so I can compare our options

The entire process was quick and easy from beginning to end. I am so glad that I finally got split AC's- I should've done it a long time ago. I've had window AC's and they cooled my house, but now I see that they didn't do as great a job as I thought...my house is so cold now!

Ever since posting my first review, there was a new worker assigned to our case and she has been so extremely helpful in making sure things got done. Whenever experiencing an issue, she was quick to respond and the company would send out technicians as soon as they were available. The technicians were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and if they felt something needed further investigation they would send someone in that department. Finally the problem has been officially fixed and I just wanted to update the review that it became a wonderful experience.

About 3 months ago I was in the market to have an AC system installed in my home. I called a local AC company and was told that they were busy and that they will have someone contact me for an appointment. After waiting for a month, I decided to call Island Comfort after my wife's coworker highly recommended them for her installation. It was a pleasure doing business with Island Comfort Air Conditioning from start to finish. I had first called to ask about repair services for my parents’ broken unit. We just can't recommend Island Comfort highly enough! We didn't want to go through another summer on Kauai without AC. Additionally because of mold allergies we wanted a system that also had air purifying and dehumidification capabilities. We were extremely frustrated with some of the first AC companies we called. If there ever was a company deserving of five out of five stars, this company is it. From the first call, to the free estimate, to the phone calls to and from Jeff, to the installation of the split system whole house A/C unit, I was impressed by their knowledge, their capability and their care. The system was designed by the estimator (Rocky), and it works perfectly, which is such a respite from some of the hot, humid summer days that occur on Kauai. I was so impressed that I am having a unit like this put into a second house that we have. Great company.

The service is 5 stars from the beginning. I contacted them online via their website and was quickly called back by Kari to schedule a quote. She was super friendly and helpful. Rocky was very knowledgeable and helped us go through the different products available for our space. After choosing the right size A/C unit we had it installed within two (2) days! Jeff explained everything we needed to know about our new unit. He was super friendly and made us feel like Ohana. Best money I ever spent ! Great customer service! Even though they were short handed the day my service was scheduled.The technician came after his Dr. appointment, which was after 4:30 . Listened to my description of what I was hearing. The technician was awesome! Explained everything as checked out the system , fixed the problem, stayed to make sure everything was working properly. Also checked other 2 units for same problem,which was. blower wheel plugged with debris. Also suggested to have main living room unit bi annually checked.
