Our funeral home has a unique history and committed relationship working within the community. We invite you to explore our legacy. Built in 1893, the George Von Weise Mansion serves as the home to the Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home since 1952. At a cost of $8,000 in 1893, the home was made with separate turret designs, 4 fireplaces, 3 false, servant quarters, hand-painted dinning room mural and built in warmers for food in the radiators.
Sometimes the thought of planning a funeral seems too difficult for those who've suffered a loss. We're here to help lighten your burden and remind you of the true value a ceremony can hold for you and your family. A funeral service provides those who are grieving with a supportive environment to celebrate their loved one's life and start the journey toward healing and peace.
When you begin funeral planning, the amount of decisions can seem overwhelming - but don't worry. We are here to help you tackle the choices one by one and make the process one of love, healing, and life celebration. When a death occurs at home or in the workplace, you'll need to contact emergency personnel or your loved one's physician if he or she was under medical care.
We would be honored to help you make arrangements for any combination of traditional military tributes. This is a certificate expressing the nation's recognition of the veteran's service. The veteran's name is inscribed and the certificate bears the signature of the President. Certificates are issued in the name of deceased honorably discharged veterans.
