Solo Hair Boutique, located in Haddonfield, New Jersey, is known for its unique hair color and cuts. Solo is also the "place to go" during prom season if you want something a little different. Owner, Valerie Tini, is committed to progressive education in hair coloring and cutting techniques. She enjoys keeping up with the most current trends.
She has been studying hair and fashion since the early seventies. Valerie worked at Glemby International, studied at Sassoon Academy in London for many years and traveled the world to get the inspiration for her creativity. Her work has been featured in many publications and commercials, including Philadelphia magazine in an article about great hair!

When clients enter Solo, they realize how musical of an experience it can be as well. Val custom tailors her diverse music taste to match every client's preference. She enjoys being creative in all aspects of a salon environment, with all the personal touches. Val's goal for Solo is to focus on having the freshest, greenest salon in the area.
Besides giving great haircuts and doing the best coloring I have had done anywhere, Valerie is patient and accommodating! (now the world knows I color my hair!). Solo is a great choice--for young or old! I have been coming to Val for 25 years, and I am never disappointed. Even when I walk in feeling miserable about my hair, I walk out feeling beautiful!

Val has created a funky yet serene, quite atmosphere where focus is on the client. Val and her attentive assistant made my day with natural products and a great cut. Price was about 25% less then a Philly but 100% better. Easy peasy free parking in back lot. Use only the specifically dedicated spot for clients of Solo. Payment for services is cash, check, or Venmo.

Came in with a horrific botched balayage from a different salon. Made an appointment with Trish and did an amazing job saving my hair! It took a couple processes and multiple hours and she stayed super positive to get my hair to what I wanted originally. Thank you so much! I will be returning to see you!

So happy I found this place! Val is so friendly and talented! I have waited years to get the courage to cut my hair short, and I finally walked into Solo with a picture of what I wanted and decided to go through with it. I could not be more thrilled with the results. Despite my thick hair, Val skillfully wielded the razor to thin my hair and produce the final product I was looking for. I have gotten so many compliments, even from people I do not know, and I cannot recommend this place enough!

I travel for a living and have had haircuts from 'celebrity stylists' all around the world. I can say, without a doubt, that Val is one of the best in the business. I recently relocated to the area and had to find a new stylist. I was super impressed by what people had to say about Val and loved what I saw in her photo gallery! Val really listened to what I wanted, gave me great feedback, and did an AMAZING job on my cut and color! I have had so many compliments from people I don't even know! Wow, Val! I went in to Solo with plum black hair and maybe 2 inches of regrowth and this woman took me from that mess to a gorgeous sandy blonde with platinum underneath for a really beautiful effect. Val took a lot of time and care to make sure my hair could safely undergo this transformation. I will not go to anyone else to get my hair done. Thanks Val and Judy for all your hard work!

Val is by far the best stylist to ever cut my hair. She knows what she's doing, gives smart recommendations, and always does an awesome job. I grew up in South Jersey, lived in NYC for many years, and currently live in San Francisco and I still have yet to find someone who can cut my hair like Val. Her cuts make my hair look thicker and fuller and she's taught me how to manage and style my curly hair. She won't allow crazy requests like bangs (I have super curly hair) and instead will make better recommendations like long layers that frame my face...a much better decision than

My husband and I have been traveling around the country for the past 8 months, so I have been getting haircuts and color touch-up all over the place. The best one by far: here at Solo. Val listened to me and had a good sense of what would work for me and my face. In fact I use the "after" pix from this cut to show other hairdressers what I want done. All in all a wonderful experience.
