Services
Girls in gymnastics typically wear leotards which we have available in our Pro-Shop, however, this is not required. We do require girls to wear a form fitting t-shirt or tank top along with knit shorts. Please have your child pull their hair back away from their face as needed. Boys should come dressed in t- shirts and athletic shorts.
For the most current list of available classes or to register online, please visit our Customer Portal. If you already receive emails from Alamo Gymnastics, it is not necessary to "create an account". Please visit our Registration page to stay current on our registration times and policies. Due to our strict student to teacher ratio, missed classes will not result in pro-rated tuition or a refund.
We begin training young gymnasts as early as 18 months in a Parent & Tot program called "Sidekicks." Until the age of 2, toddlers enhance their gross motor skills through lively exercise and games - emphasizing listening, taking instruction and participating in group activities. Sidekicks is a fun-filled way to introduce your toddler to gymnastics in a safe, dynamic environment!
Our Developmental Program follows the guidelines of USA Gymnastics in training and skill progressions. This progress is charted by the coaches and is used to promote gymnasts to more challenging levels. A beginner will enroll as a Level I in the age-appropriate division and successively move to Level 2 etc upon completion of required skills.
Xcel Gymnastics (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond): The USA Gymnastics Xcel Program was developed as an alternative competitive program designed to offer a broad-based, more affordable, competitive experience outside the traditional Jr. Olympic Program to attract and retain a diverse group of athletes.

Brought my daughter here 4 a trial class and she really enjoyed it. The instructor was very professional. He is very good at what he does and you can tell is very experienced in working with children based off of his level of patience and his way of instructing. the staff was very professional and good with communication as well. We felt right at home and my daughter had a great time

When I used to do gymnastics classes I had an AWFUL coach, I constantly felt singled out by him. At one point while he was giving instructions I turned around and answered a question that one of the other kids was asking me. The coach told me to pay attention then slapped me across the face. I was 8 years old.

My 5 year all does not feel comfortable with the instructors. The instructors on 6:00pm class on Thursdays are not welcoming at all. They never approached my child. We were on the side watching. My kid did not want to go coz she’s shy and intimidated. If only the instructor approached and even say hello to my child; it would made a big difference. We were there and the instructor never made an eye contact with us. I was expecting and hoping that if you’re working with the kids, you have to be compassionate and understanding, be accommodating- should be part of their job. I’m totally disappointed

My 31/2 old granddaughter wouldn’t keep her mask on, which I am all for following rules. But when the instructor brought her out to let me know she was not allowed n the class unless she kept the mask on, she was extremely rude to me in front of the other paternts. Not sympathetic and uncaring. Didn’t seem at all happy about teaching the girls.

This place always smells like feet immediately when you walk into the building. I also notice that there is never any cleaning of equipment being done. I did not want my child to get sick so I asked the lady at the front desk what their cleaning schedule was; She could not give me a straight answer and ended with "I honestly don't know". Children touch the equipment every day and no one sanitizes the material? I won't be coming back for the next session especially when I have already had a negative experience with billing & surprise fees from their manager Kelly. I must

My daughter use to be in gymnastics until she decided she no longer enjoyed it. She was in gymnastics from age 7 until 10. When we moved here she started at the Alamo Gymnastics. We called them right away to have her evaluated and leveled. They did a great job with her considering she has Autism and ADHD. They were so patient with her and met with me and even learned all her ques. They learned her triggers and what to say to calm her. They helped ensure if she wanted to stay in gymnastics she could be successful.
I'll forever be greatly for them allowing her that chance to be apart of that group

If you have not registered don't bother, the initial visit was great, then my daughter missed the session, I called and was told they were busy and call back, no one answered. Then I went a head and registered my baby on line for another day. When my daughter went to class for 30 minutes no one was there to sell her leotard, then when someone did, they said she can not go to class and needs to go home, there is no make up day. I tried calling for 2 hours, the voice mail kept on saying they are open to 7 but no one is ther to answer customers, no manager to solve issues. BAD BUSINESS

Poor communication!!! Not happy we were charged for childcare after I canceled making the responsible decision not to take my child with fever and flu! I finally left a message on the machine after no one would answer the phone making me think they weren’t open yet. I did not think to first check their policy on their website, as I would be told later, I was busy getting my kid meds and the other off to daycare to give them more time to open and answer the phone. No one contacted me in return that day after I did leave a message. It wasn’t until the second day I called again to cancel and yet

If I could give no stars, I would. My friends daughter was at the summer camp this past Monday and when her mother went to pick her up daughter, she did not see her in the gym she's usually in. My friends mother got in her car and proceeded to back out of her parking spot when she spotted her 4 year old granddaughter roaming around in the parking lot. My friends family has been trying to get answers from the gym and they gym insist that it is not their fault. They say the camp ends at 5 and even if the child is not picked up by then, they are no longer under their care.

I was in the market for childcare and after several letdowns, I called this center. I was surprised at the affordable cost of Drop-In care for select holidays, and decided to drop off my child. I went in, left her with her lunch, then went to work. Later the Director called me and left a very kind voicemail on how to register online, for free and then pay. The process was SO easy, and seamless. I think what helped most was the information they gave over the phone, both when I was just inquiring and when they followed up the day of care. And to top it off, when my child got in the car, she said

Several things that bothered me... Attended a friends birthday party on a Sunday at the gym with my child and it didn't seem like the coaching staff was very attentive. It appears they rather just talk with each other than pay attention to the kids. Several parents commented that a particular coach was maybe under the influence of something. To top it all off I was informed another parent spotted a bottle of wine near what seemed to be the staff room. We as parents have to sign a waiver for the safety of our children, however maybe the waiver is to protect drunk staff members??!

The gym itself looked clean, but review is on customer focus. Came around lunch time which could have been the problem. Saw about four employees walking around or talking , but I stood at the front desk with no offer for assistance for about ten minutes. The one person at desk was attending to another customer on the phone and wasn't able to acknowledge my existence or ask another team member to attend to me.
Likely, I came at a bad time. However, I'm not going to chance it and plan to attend a different gym.

Love, love, love the Camp Active summer camp at Alamo Gymnastics! This is probably the most organized and informative camp I've ever enrolled my kids in. My 9yo daughter went for 2 full weeks (8:00-4:00) and my 5yo son did 2 of their half-days (8:30-1:30). Both kids had a blast this summer!
The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. My daughter takes gymnastics classes here, so this camp is just another great service that they offer. Rates are on par with other camps.
Electronic devices are prohibited during this active camp, which I think is a great policy! Kids do

We've been going to Alamo Gymnastics for years now. They have a couple gyms, one for the smaller kids and another for older, more serious gymnasts.
The smaller gym meets the needs for the little tikes, ranging from shorter uneven bars to a long trampoline.
The larger one is the real deal. Everything you'd want to become a gold medal winner!
The staff is great as well. Free play for those 5 and under on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Based upon prior birthday parties attended at Alamo Gymnastics, we decided to hold our daughter's 5th birthday party there. At the time of booking, two months prior to the party, we were told that our party would consist of one hour of gym time with 2 party hosts, and we would have access to the party room directly attached to the large gym. Five days prior to the party, I received a phone call to let me know that they "changed their party times" so they could double book parties and our party room would now be located in the building next door (causing 1-5 year olds to walk across a parking lot

I try to be very picky about what service I get from places that relate to the children. Let me tell you, Alamo Family and Fitness saved my relationship with my kids this summer. :) This place rocks San Antonio.
They have dance lessons, swim lessons, gymnastics, tumbling, cheering, martial arts, massage, on site daycare and so on.. Notice in one photo of mine that the little ones can participate in a class while the parents work out on the tread mill behind them for $5 a session or $30 a month.
