Smith Anglin was founded by Dallas trendsetter Walter Smith and former Mobil Oil accountant Bobby Anglin in 1967. Always on the forefront of their field, Smith Anglin was one of the first CPA firms to move out of downtown Dallas and move north of the city in the 1960s. The firm became a tenant in the Meadows Building doing accounting for the Meadows family.
