I was raised in Tahoe and it has been my home for over 30 years. I returned to Tahoe bringing my passion, knowledge, and the experience I gained to help improve the health and well being of others in our amazing community. I received my Masters of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University of Natural Medicine as well as a Bachelors Degree in Natural Health Sciences.
Many people may be unfamiliar with what exactly takes place in an acupuncture session. Wondering what happens during treatment, how many visits may be needed and whether health insurance covers it are all common concerns. In a typical first visit, a practitioner will take a detailed health history, fully investigate your chief complaint and provide acupuncture for you.
Gina has been amazing. I am recovering from some head injuries & have a severe continual migraine that simply does not subside, along with other issues. Since I've been working with Gina, she's taken off the tip of the iceberg of my pain & my most recent visit, the shooting pains in my head shifted from right to left, then 100 pounds of my headache lifted as she strategically worked with me.
Gina Wyneken LAc. has extensive experience and success working with fertility clients and looks forward to answering and questions you may have. Traditional Chinese Medicine was first used to treat infertility more than 2,000 years ago. It was initially used to regulate menstrual cycles and prevent miscarriage.
Massage Cupping the combination of massage movements and negative pressure with the use of a suction device on the skin. A cup is positioned at the area to be treated and, depending on the type of cups being used; a vacuum is created within the cup to draw the skin and underlying tissue into the cup.

Gina is incredible! I’ve had spinal/neck pain for years and after a month of working with her I felt like I had my life back. I’ve now been seeing her weekly for almost 4 years and I couldn’t be more thankful. Laura, the receptionist at LTAW is so sweet and very knowledgeable about the supplements. Between the two of them they make the perfect team!

Gina is compassionate and a good listener that really cares about her patients. She both asks and answers questions to provide the best care. The office is inviting and serene with so many sweet little details to make you feel good to be there. The staff is friendly, scheduling is flexible, appointments are prompt, insurance is accepted and pricing is reasonable.

It’s truly unfortunate that this person didn’t understand insurance or no call no show policy .Perhaps this person should spend more time educating herself on how Insurance and office policies work . As for her comments about the receptionist being rude, that’s so,so not true . Laura

Gina is amazing! I always feel better after a treatment with her. She not only does extra research if necessary, but she is willing to go above and beyond to make sure her patients have the best care possible. I have been seeing her for years now and when my mom is in town, she sees Gina, too. I also work on healthcare and appreciate the extra time she takes and genuine care she gives to each patient.

My husband went in to see Gina back in October due to severe back pain. He didn't feel any difference and never went back. We then received our first bill in the mail 4 months later (February and stating we were 90 days past due) after they had been paid by our insurance. When I called and questioned the front desk about it, a very rude receptionist told me it was my job to investigate this sort of thing with my insurance company... so I did. When I called back and explained to her that this bill had been paid by insurance and we didn't owe anything based on the agreement as an in network service

So great!! From the moment I booked I knew I found a gem. The whole experience was amazing and comfortable and professional. Very clean, stylish facility and Gina went above and beyond my expectations. I am a wellness practitioner but Gina did not assume anything. She explained procedure, what to expect and what to do if I was feeling uncomfortable. Gina offered some herbs that may help , but was not pushy. Would definitely recommend!

I have been getting acupuncture since I was 19 years old for chronic pain from sports injuries from all sorts of clinics all over the country and the world- Colorado, California, Hawaii, Nicaragua, and Australia to name a few. But honestly it wasn't until I met Gina that my perception of acupuncture changed. Her wealth of knowledge and deep understanding of her work is truly remarkable.
