We needed an evaluation of our existing home irrigation system because we've changed a lot of our landscaping since we first installed the system several years ago, plus our old system controller had started to fail. Eric McCoy from SmartEarth came out to do the evaluation. I was impressed with several things: he was right on time; he was thorough in looking at all spray functioning and coverage; he listened carefully to all my concerns; he was clear about what he would and would not recommend, and why; he did not recommend anything unless we absolutely needed it -- he didn't want us to spend money

I was referred by my favorite plumber after we determined the problem with my saturated lawn was not plumbing related. Peggy answered the phone on the first ring and Eric showed up within an hour. He quickly diagnosed all of my sprinkler system problems and provided an estimate for all of the repairs. He fixed them all including a new WiFi controller with weather and rain sensors. He also fixed all of the heads and setup the system for efficient and reliable operation.

I’ve used Smart Earth twice. First time was a system repair for my already existing sprinkler system in the front and side yards. The second time was a system install in the back yard. Both experiences were very pleasant. The company responds promptly, has upfront pricing, and keeps all their time and price commitments. On the install, they ended up having to add extra hardware that wasn’t in the original quote. They made no attempts to “nickel and dime” me and pass those expenses on to my bill. Very professional company. I highly recommend them.

Fast response, excellent communication throughout including text message notifying of appointment. The technician let me know that he was a few minutes late which was appreciated. He took the time to assess and address my problems and advised on the fix/described the work done and was very efficient. Pricing was in line with previous work I have had done from other companies and their work is warrantied. I would do business with them again.

They've been out twice now to address a very extensive system (12 zones) that had been neglected over the years. It was more than I thought but in fairness there was a ton to be done... 2b clear, pricing was very fair. Both times prompt, professional and thorough. Justin Oswald is a top notch pro... Personable great communication & really knows his stuff... explained everything very clearly... even made suggestions for programming the water times. Like many other Austinites, we discovered our backflow valve was leaking after the freeze. We called a number of places, but they were either scheduled out for a month, or didn't have the part, or were interested in making a quick buck with ridiculously high rates.
Smart Earth Sprinklers were able to come out in a couple of days, quoted a fair rate over the phone. They replaced the valve, inspected it, and ran the sprinkler system to check the heads. They were not pushy at all when I said I'd replace the heads myself. They continued the inspection and flagged the bad heads.

This is such a wonderful company. They are so caring and very knowledgeable. I had bought a house with underground watering for the front lawn and it was soaked and pooling onto the driveway. They fixed it with minimal damage to the lawn and went ahead and taught me all there is to know about my system and checked the whole thing out for any other problems. When my sprinkler backflow sprung a bad leak my regular irrigation company couldn't come out for two weeks, so I called Smart Earth. Gabriel called back within an hour and arranged an appointment in two days, with an estimate of the repair cost. He also declined to do some additional work suggested by the other company, explaining that it was ill-advised (even though he could have made more money on the job). Do not use this company. A tech was sent who did shoddy work and couldn't answer questions without calling a supervisor. $95 for nothing and told to call a plumber.
Sprinklers preciously working fine are still not operating. No attempt by tech to even find the heads to check them. I had to do show him where the heads of sprinklers are.
Follow up: Gabriel is misrepresenting his response immediately after the service call and again today when he finally returned my call after the yelp review. He doesn't stand behind the work his techs do. Plain and simple. He's looking for a service
