My photographs have always been some of my most treasured possessions. I started learning photography in high school on a old 35mm film camera I don't know if they even teach with those anymore? I've learned so much more about my craft since then, and have been shooting professionally since 2001. This is not my hobby, or my "side job".
I love what I do, and I do it full time. My camera allows me to capture precious images of my loved ones, special memories, and the good times we share. Out of all of the things I own, photographs of my loved ones are my most cherished. In each image I've captured a special moment, an expression, a laugh, a smile, a feeling, a memory, and a story.

Our first interaction was on Zoom, even then I could tell she was going to be amazing! Our son was born earlier than expected, she was able to make sure we still took his pictures when he was at his tiniest. She came on her BIRTHDAY! Spent the entire day with us ( I had a lot of poses I wanted) and made sure we were able to capture all of them! WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY & THEN SOME! These pictures are just a few of my favorites! We already Melissa for his cake smash session, that's how much we loved her! She will be taking his senior portraits too LOL .

Second time working with Melissa For a newborn photo session. She is so patient and professional, as we know newborns can be unpredictable but she manages two work with the babies to get the perfect shot. Her work is top quality, I still have my photos

Just had photos done for my four month old son and Melissa did amazing! She was professional and made my baby smile non-stop, which isn't so easy to do. I was definitely nervous to have photos done for my fourth month old but she was patient with him and just overall amazing with him. Will definitely be booking her for photos!

Melissa was incredible! She was very organized & made us feel great about going through the process with our little one. She even stayed way past her allotted time because our baby was being good & she wanted to take as many pictures as possible. Melissa did our newborn photo shoot of our first born during CoVID-19. She came to our home, was extremely professional (and hygienic as she always wore a mask and even had booties on her shoes!), and was a pure joy to to have in our home. Not to mention that the photos turned out amazing!!! She truly is the baby whisperer and has a gift for working with babies. If you have a new baby or one on the way, do not hesitate to contact Melissa for your photo shoot! You will not regret it!!!

This review is way overdue but finally writing it. We started our journey with Melissa in 2018. She took our maternity photos first then, newborn photos for our first daughter. They came out excellent!! She has such a way with babies, it's a gift. Very patient. We then moved to San Diego and became pregnant with our second daughter and we just couldn't find anyone in San Diego we thought we would like, so we called Melissa again. She was so graciously wonderful to meet us in San Diego for our second round of maternity photos and newborn pictures in 2020. She has easily become a part of our family

If you are looking for a newborn photographer, stop right now and contact Melissa! I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience. From booking our session (basically last minute), taking the extra time during the session, always being available to answer my questions, too delivering the most perfect picture, Melissa did an outstanding job. She went above and beyond multiple times to make sure we got what we wanted and included so many sweet extras just out of the kindness of her heart! I don't even know where to start with this review. Melissa is absolutely incredible! We have used her for both our boys newborn pictures. She brings her whole set up with tons of swaddles and blankets and buckets and basically everything you could want for your pictures. She transformed our living room into a studio. When I found out I was pregnant I knew the one thing I wanted most was to capture the first weeks of life with our daughter. From the moment I contacted Melissa, she was everything and more that I hoped for in a newborn photographer. Please stop what you're doing and make an appointment with Melissa before she's booked. I'm so glad we made the decision to do newborn pictures with her. She came and set up at my home at 8am and didn't leave until 2pm in order to get all the shots I wanted. My little guy didn't want to sleep. Melissa truly cares about her little models, she was so good with my baby. Her pictures are the highest level of quality for a newborn photographer We loved all the pictures so much, we had to get them all. The pictures made awesome gifts for family and grandparents, everyone adored

Can't believe I forgot to write a review! (I'm so sorry Melissa!) Melissa photographed my baby girl when she was only 8 days old. She did an AMAZING job! As a new mom, I was completely unsure how to help. Not much was needed from me because Melissa is an expert at gently handling babies and safely positioning them for a great shot. She had many props and accessories available to use that I really didn't bring anything except props for the special request of a Harry Potter set. The photo shoot never felt rushed.
