Southern Illinois Solar's owners Scott Workman and Chris Weiss are lifelong local residents. Together Chris and Scott have prior experience in commercial construction, roofing, large equipment operation, electrical wiring, low voltage wiring, security cameras, internet, computers, satellite and cable.
Scott and Chris combined their extensive knowledge and experience in both technology and construction to form Southern Illinois Solar. They founded S.I.S. knowing that solar energy is the future, it's more cost-effective than ever and that the demand for solar energy systems is skyrocketing.

Solar panels which contain Photovoltaic (PV) Cells are installed onto your roof or on the ground. The PV Cells convert the sunlight into DC electricity throughout the day. Electricity is created even if it is cold out, overcast or cloudy.
