Brenda and Cassie both waited our table. The coffee never ran out, the food was good and the service, even being short staffed, was great. If you haven't stopped in yet, I highly recommend that you do!!

They were SO fast even being short staffed, and catered to my son and I. The food was delicious, and the waitress even took my bill up for me! It was a really good experience. Definitely will return in the future!

The quality of the food has gone down to premade and instant food taste.. over oily to over salty.. I don't know how to explain it.. but a foodie like me love the difference between homemade to instant... Just stay home and cook it yourself..

Everything was very good. I liked the skillet with sausage gravy and my wife liked her swedish pancakes with ligonberries. The sausage gravy was almost as good as my wife's from scratch. Probably the best I have had in a restaurant.

Food was wonderful! Staff was incredibly nice and kept coming by to check to make sure we were okay even though they were busy. Wait time was not bad. Definitely the place to be for breakfast so make sure you get there early.

Expect your typical small town diner type restaurant, EXCEPT excellent service and great menu options. Not very many places in small towns cater to gluten free diets. They have gluten free toast, which I was thrilled about. They also have turkey bacon as a healthier option to standard bacon! They also have apple butter jelly from Smuckers. YUM! The foodie in me was so thrilled! I visited once in person and once years later (today) for carry out and the food was ready in 5 minutes! AND my coffee to go was in a giant 16 oz cup! WINNING!

I liked our waitress. The eggs tasted funny. I thought it was just me, but then my daughter said hers tasted funny. Also we ordered over easy which they were not. No yoke. The worst part was probably the food we had to walk through to get to our table. It was so bad we had to ask them to clean it up which they did a lousy job. Dont think I'll go back.

We are local and Brenda's is always our first choice for breakfast! The family atmosphere is always pleasant and the food is fabulous! If there is a line don't let it scare you, service is fast and you won't regret waiting for your seat.

It was storming when my power went out. We have gone three days without any electricity or running water so making breakfast in the morning was a thing of the past. Today we decided to look for a diner to find some solitude and finally have a warm cooked meal instead of pop tarts.
We saw Brenda's Cafe while driving and decided to stop by and see if it was open. When we went inside the ambiance was so cute and we immediately felt at home here. We were greeted by a smile and seated with haste. The coffee we were served was what we needed after these grueling past few days and the breakfast

I rarely write bad reviews unless it is warranted. I usually only write reviews on places that get a 4 or 5 stars...BUT this place was HORRIBLE!!!!

We were visiting on vacation and stopped in for some brunch. Big mistake. Service was horrible, waitresses cleaning around us, while having a loud conversation, and one was coughing non stop and said she felt like death. Then she goes into a huge choking fit and stays right in the lobby instead of going outside.

Outstanding cafe just up from the beach.
Ladies are friendly and the place is cozy. Ordered the seafood omelette. It was delicious!
I wanted something I had never eaten and I believe this fit the Bill. Shrimp, Krab and Swiss Cheese.
The meatloaf looked good, but had to decide on one.

I absolutely love this place. Im not from the area so I really had no clue where to go for breakfast. I read all the great reviews on Google Maps. Seemed like the food was fantastic and the service was over the top.
The reviews didn’t disappoint! The staff here is so friendly and the food is amazing. I ordered the meat lovers omelette. The initial appearance was under whelming and a little lackluster. But I’ll tell you, the taste made up for it for sure. Coming back here again!

Great little breakfast spot! Tried on a whim and was very pleased - great food and perfect portions. If you are nearby and hungry give them a try.

Old local diner. Great food and service! My 1 son loved the blueberry pancakes. My husband got the captains breakfast which included a ton of food. Breakfast for three was less than $20!

Last minute decision as the place we intended to eat was closed for lunch. Their specialty is breakfast but we ordered lunch. My wet burrito was excellent.

Another diner today awaits us. They have the old school paper ad placemats on the table, reminds me of a Mel's diner of the bygone era.

Ordered the gf stuffed French toast with a side of turkey bacon, my husband ordered the breakfast wrap with the turkey bacon and a side of hash browns.

They leave the whole carafe of hot coffee at the table for you to get caffeinated to your heart's content. There is antibacterial sanitizer at every table as part of the condiment tray.

$3 for 3 strips of turkey bacon here, yes, $1 a turkey bacon strip, seems hefty, no?

A nice little mom&pop place to get breakfast and lunch. I'm happy go give my money to a local place vs a chain restaurant.

The decor is great and done nicely with nautical decor.

We got the Captains Platter and omelette. Including one soda, out bill was $20.

Everything tasted very nice, with a very stocked table caddy - coffee creamers, sugars, jelly, and hand sanitizer!

The restaurant was clean with friendly and attentive staff. The bathroom was clean, but the tile-board seemed some better days.

With camping in Pentwater, We were very disappointed to find or not find any restaurants open on Sunday morning in Pentwater for breakfast. Drove to Ludington, found Brenda's Harbor Café on yelp. Thought we would try it. We ended up going both mornings we were camping. It's pretty good.
We had friendly and very good service.
I had the sausage gravy with over medium eggs, corn beef hash and hashbrowns which were cooked perfectly. Sausage gravy was excellent. Overall this place is great and a good find...

Brenda's is a jewel of a find in Downtown Ludington. The staff is friendly and service is quick. I love brunch and I was excited to see a simple menu (that includes lunch options as well). I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs while the rest of my table ordered a mixture of skillets and a breakfast burrito. We all devoured our food. The Texas toast was delicious as was the homemade cinnamon roll. Thumbs up and the prices are decent!
