Galway Rock Vineyard & Winery
Galway Rock represents our family's quest to fulfill a dream of crafting small batches of world-class wine in the Saratoga Region of the Adirondack Foothills. Our estate vineyards yield wines with finesse, complexity, and balance that are unique to our terroir. This, combined with our old-world wine making attitude and innovative wine growing techniques, results in vibrant food-friendly wines that are an authentic expression of each vintage.
Services
High atop Ballston Lake, with views of the mountains stretching to Vermont, sits the home of Galway Rock Vineyard & Winery and Saratoga Sparkling Wine Co. In 2014, Kate Soldani started the winery in Galway, New York, using her parents two-stall garage where she worked mostly by hand for five years as her clean and elegant wines gained a following and recognition.
Note: Your first case can be purchased at ANY time and will count as either the January or August shipment. Just sign up and we'll immediately start your perks and discounts! When its shipment time we'll let you know and you can pick out your favorite wines two times a year. Note: Your first half case can be purchased at ANY time and will count as either the January or August shipment.
Saratoga County wine lovers will have a brand-new way of trying some of New York State's top wines this weekend. When considering the great wine destinations of the world (Napa, the Yarra Valley, Bordeaux, Tuscany), Ballston Lake is hardly on the tip of the average oenophile's tongue.

But Galway Rock Vineyard isn't necessarily interested in drawing accolades from Wine Spectator and hordes of grape aficionados from far and wide (at least at this point).Imagine sipping a nice glass of Merlot with views of rolling hills while noshing on a cheese plate. A new winery tasting room, Galway Rock Vineyard and Winery, is opening at 998 Saratoga Rd. in Ballston Lake this month.
Enjoy a glass of your favorite wine, sip your way through a mimosa tower, grab some local farm beers, or try some of our winetails. Whether you hang out in our light and airy tasting room, or relax on our sun drenched patio, be sure to spend some time with the people you love. This makes every tasting experience richer than any food and wine combination can.
If you are looking for a unique space and special setting to celebrate your event, then our tasting room and patio are just what you are looking for. Whether you're planning a bridal shower, landmark anniversary, birthday, small wedding, corporate event, or casual gathering our wines, staff, and service allow you to focus on your guests.

Great wine and super friendly staff. Our pup was also glad to join us on the patio! We are glad we found this on our trip to the area.

So happy that we found this place on Rt50 outside Burnt Hills. It reminds me of wine tasting in the Finger Lakes. I was throughly impressed with the wine selection and cheese/charcuterie offering. There is nice indoor and outdoor seating.

We stayed Saratoga springs for a few days. Wanted to do a tasting. Galway was open for business on-a Thursday. My wife and I went to Galway to try some wine. We were not disappointed. As Long Island residents, we know good wine. Galway delivers. Great views, excellent wine. Thank you Galway. Yes

Checked this place out with my girlfriend on a weekend getaway to Saratoga. We loved it! Small but cute, and the wine was delicious. Excited to come back in the summer.

Nice location with ample seating inside and outside where for $10 you can enjoy a small tasting and the Governor's Wheel of Cheese which is packaged cheese for $2. Would have opted out of that if I knew. When coming to visit new places I'm always seeking local foods and support the businesses and was bummed when it wasn't local cheeses. Maybe the price point but regardless moving on to the wine.

This location is nice as it has three different vineyards on the tasting and grabbed a few from each. Mostly drier wines, they were light and refreshing and weren't that intense in

The wine tastings were given in plastic tiny cups which was disappointing. The view is pretty and we were happy for heat lamps to stay warm while being outside, but overall left disappointed.

We are lucky to have a local wine spot like this in our area. It is so nice to have a spot to go to or bring friends and family to right in our backyard. The space is great size for groups and tasting and even though the outside is not completely done you can tell it will be beautiful when it's finished. The view over looks Ballston Lake and there is a great outdoor patio. There are table, couches and games for guests and the it's very spacious inside but lots of great windows to take in the view.

The only challenge I think is the you can not tell how beautiful the space is from the

Galway Rock is a great addition to the local craft beverage scene! It has a convenient location being from Niskayuna it's just a short drive. The indoor tasting room is nice and the outdoor area looks great. We can't wait to go back in the spring and enjoy the wine outside. The owner and her mother were really nice and the wine they make was great. I find I'm usually disappointed with the wine from some other local wineries so I am pleased they have several great options here!

My absolute favorite place to go for wine when in the area. Me and my boyfriend stopped by while they were building the deck out back and got to visit again once it was finished - on opening day to be exact! The view is breathtaking, the wine is fantastic, and all the employees are so kind and knowledgable. I always stop by when I'm in the area!

Great stop for a tasting. For $7 you get 5 tastings, or you can get wine by the glass or bottles. Their glass and bottle prices are very affordable, the bottles I got were $13 and $14.

4 of the wines were theirs, and they offered 4 from two other local wineries. They also had some cheese plates available. The wine selection:

Dry reds: They had a Malbec (which I really enjoyed) and a Cab Franc (from another winery).

Rosés: They make a rosé, and there's a sparkling rosé (from another winery). Their rosé was very light in color and had a great flavor.

Whites: They had a few from semi

It's with mixed feelings that I write this review.

Galway Rock Vineyard & Winery in Ballston Lake, NY is a hidden Jem. My concern is that I hope that there will always be room for us in their tasting room but as people discover how good their wine is this may not be the case.

The owner Kate was so gracious to show us around the winery and explain how their wine is made. My wife and I shared a Valentine's Day - Wine, Dessert & Cheese platter along with a tasting of all their wines and even a special limited reserved bottle she brought out from the back room.

We will be back
