In the fall of 1999 our business began as a franchise, strictly selling metal. As time passed, we realized that there was more of a need for fabrication and repair than for just selling metal in Tallahassee, so we reorganized our business as Metal Fabrication & Sales of Tallahassee. After more than 20 years of service here, we are pleased to be a part of history and of progress in this great area where our family has its roots.
Waterjet cutting uses a high-pressure jet stream of water mixed with an abrasive to cut almost any material. This cutting process allows complicated parts to be produced within tight tolerances. Our waterjet is capable of cutting almost any two-dimensional design that you can imagine. We can use a file provided by you, or our in-house designers can help bring your idea to life.
We have what you are looking for in custom railings, gates, and stair sections that will enhance the beauty and safety of your home or office. Railings are mainly used for interior and exterior staircases, balconies or some type of barrier you might want enclosed. Our custom gates come in all shapes and sizes.

Well.... I should have read the review 1st before going to this place.

I asked for simple cuts to some sheetmetal and I had marked where the cuts were to be made. I ASSUMED the cuts were going to be made ON THE MARKS ! ... crazy of me to think such a thing right ?
No, man on phone said, we cut to a 1/8 " tolerance.
so.. 2 cuts could be 1/4' different widths ! .. Dont expect any precision here.
Guy said, if you wanted accuracy, you have to tell us beforehand !

Finally picked up my platform from Metal Fab Tallahassee and it is built exactly how I needed it to be and a lot sexier than I designed it! I sent them the leg footprint, height, and all dimensions I needed. They added roll to the legs, a tab for anchor light, feet with countersunk holes and made her look sleek.
Platform was finished 2 weeks earlier than the lead time I was originally given.

Recently Miller Glass of Tallahassee recommended that I check out Metal Fabricators and Sales of Tallahassee, stating that they were really good at what they do. I'm really glad I took their advice.
I took my relatively insignificant project to Metal Fabricators and they treated it like it was a six figure job. They were sincerely interested in finding a solution to my problem and did not quit until the solution was in hand. While they were researching my issue, I had a chance (unchaperoned) to look around the office at some of the products on display. What I saw were several examples

This is a shop that does not take pride in their work. I paid $300 for a firepit that the owner argued with me about the welds being acceptable when they were the shoddiest looking welds I have ever seen coming out of a shop. (To quote: it's a fire pit, they don't need to look good. I personally take this to mean that unless you're 'somebody' to me, or spending BIG BUCKS, it doesn't matter that you're paying money. You're money is worth less.) I have seen prettier welds on a cattle gap repaired in the field than what came out of this shop. If you want

Awesome service, and personable staff. I have had three separate custom requests and they nailed it each time, today I got all new cut steal grate and a fire box basket made for my new smoker grill I am modifying ...exactly how I needed it for an awesome price! thanks again and I will definitely be back for my next metal project needs!

Fantastic family-run business! Metal Fab is the best fabrication shop in North Florida. I've used them for several of my personal and business needs and they never disappoint. The friendly and professional staff performs great work with some of the nicest welds I have ever seen. Can't say enough good things about these guys.
