My parents have lived here for 8 years and the quality of services has declined significantly. They have so many meals they are required to buy each month. We went to visit my parents and they would not Oder from the deli. We went out to lunch instead.
Historically they have been very happy with the meals. The manager is not a chef and the quality of the food has gone down significantly. The manager is rarely present and the food is dry, salty, and poorly cooked. My parents have resorted to ordering from the grocery store and cooking at home.
They say the meals are inconsistent and they have

I’ve been very happy with the SV staff and facilities. My family looked at numerous places and the apartments here are beautiful, the grounds are well manicured, and the staff kind and caring. They’ve done well to protect residents from Covid19 exposure, though its active in the community. The food gets rave reviews too. I’m feel very confident having my family member call SV home.

It's sad to know that even a nice place like this there are evil people working here. While my moms boyfriend was taking a shower they entered his room took $300 and my moms tamales from the freezer she made before she passed away. I have made a police report and I will find out who did this. No one should be entering the room when they are not suppose to and I believe the policy should be looked at or changed.

Dining service staff are rude and uncaring. Food tasted similar to how I imagine prison food would +high blood pressure from the extreme amount of salt added since that is the only "flavor". Waited 20 minutes to have my order taken and they took my wife's drink before she was finished. 2 stars because residents seem to fair out fine despite these horrid services. Never again.

I am very familiar with residential care and assisted living in general and the different levels of services available. Samaritan Village has been a good experience for my mother's care needs. I researched many communities in the northern California area as well as some out of state as possible care facilities. My mother did not need memory care, etc. but was simply in need of help with her day-to-day activities, good meals, good social options, and a peaceful and beautiful community to live in. These are not easy criteria to find in one location but Samaritan Village meets all of them

I wouldn’t let me grandparents live here . They train the caregivers with in a few days and expect them to ask to get more training what a joke. Not to mention I heard so much drama from from my experience at this place . They hire anyone and everybody. All the workers complain maybe if they recognize people’s hard work.

Amazing and caring place!
My friend's mom (like a 2nd mom to me) lived out the rest of her life here. The food was so good that farmers nearby would come and eat here at the open restaurant (which supplied the same food to residents and their family members, and guests alike). People are friendly, kind, and were great to her. There is a beauty shop, a post office, a chapel, place to have a lot of fun. I used to kid her that I wanted to be her roommate. Now, I am thinking I would love to live here. This IS home. We had her services there, catered of course by the cooking staff; and

Samaritan Village has met our expectations after five months here in our lovely independent living apartment. The facilities are wonderful. The residents are generally actively involved in the many activities, have positive attitudes and are very friendly. The staff is here to meet needs of the residents in a friendly way. We also love eating in the restaurant especially because of the outstanding choices the chef provides. This is an excellent choice for retirement living.

My parents lived here and the management and staff are so incompetent it is scary. They ran out of my dad's meds quite a few times. They also put my dad in the hospital with sepsis because they don't know anything about sterile technique with regards to his catheter. I dealt with these people for 5 yrs and thank God I am done with them.

Once or twice a month we drive from Modesto to have breakfast with our friend. I am sorry to say the meal generally is not very good. Last week after waiting a lengthy time we had to go find the order taker to place our order. One person in our group wanted a tea bag, she said so to the order taker but never got it. Another in our group ask to have his eggs VERY well cooked, he stated "even if they are crispy" all the better!, he got them over medium. He and I also ask to have the bacon very well done, didn't happen. In short no one in the group got what they had requested.

We had heard great things about Samaritan Village. Our expectations so far are exceeded. My dad move in date was last Friday and the few times he has been here has been just great. When you first arrive to visit you are greeted by a wonderful person named Kevin to show you what the village is all about. If my dad's stay is as good as our initial impression with Kevin, then my Dad has it made. I cannot compare to other places but I will say that it would almost be impossible for somewhere to exceed our stay here.

My father in law has been at Samaritan Village for a little over a year. He is residing in the Country Manor assisted living area of the facility.
We just love Samaritan Village. The caregivers truly care about him and we are very pleased with the facility. We are proud to bring family and friends to see Dad at Samaritan.
The facility is clean and the grounds are so beautiful. When you visit Samaritan Village you can tell a lot of care is taken to keep this facility looking beautiful and we appreciate it so much.
The staff is always so helpful and kind. We also enjoy eating with Dad in the main
