Yellowstone River Motel is located just outside the North entrance to Yellowstone National Park in quiet, quaint Gardiner, Montana. Our motel is situated overlooking the Yellowstone River which can be enjoyed from our beautiful patio. Often, elk, antelope, deer and other park animals can be seen across the way.
Our new wing has 18 contemporary styled rooms designed for our guest's comfort and convenience. We also have 20 AAA approved deluxe rooms with air conditioning and full baths. We have one three bedroom family unit with a full kitchen and a few two bedroom family suites. We have an outdoor barbeque area with a charcoal grill and tables so you can cook and enjoy the trout you catch.

My wife and I were traveling from Texas to Montana towing a 5th wheel trailer. We changed plans part of the way through our trip and ended up in Gardiner MT. We were not able to find a space at an RV park so started checking for hotels. We found the Yellowstone River Motel. There was space across the street to park our 5th wheel and they had rooms available. The motel was built in the 1940s but has been updated and was very clean. The staff was awesome and very accommodating. The view of the Yellowstone river from the "porch" was amazing.

We ended up finding this place last min and it was wonderful! Exceeded our expectations. Comfy beds, roomy, great views and a quaint place to see the river behind the older part of the hotel. I’d definitely stay here over a chain hotel any day. It was my kids favorite hotel of our 2 week trip! And the price was much lower than other places down the street.

The room was clean and affordable. Our family of 5 did not plan to stay here. But ended up staying a night after the hotel that we were going to stay at gave us bad vibes. The owners here were so friendly and helpful towards us. They had the rollaway bed for us already in the room and extra towel for the 5th person. This does not happen other places. We have to ask for a extra towel at other places. We wished we found this place before! We all got a great night sleep to start our way back home. Thank you again.

Awesome place to stay. My husband and I came into town without reservations anywhere and Mary was so helpful and sweet. We were able to get a room without any problems. The location couldn't be better because you're literally at the entrance to YNP. The rooms are cute, clean, and comfortable! We highly recommend this place if there's availability. Bonuses were the river was right out out front door and they are pet friendly. Our stay here helped make our trip the best it could be!!
