I had the cheese stuffed poblano pepper, was served with rice wich had good flavor but kinda cold, refried beans delicious but cold as well, salad and guacamole wich was delicious ; warmer sides would have made the plate good.
Service on the other hand was lacking hospitality, no greeting, when we asked about some items in the menu waitress was rude ,checked on us only once (waitress was socializing with another worker it seemed) after me flagging another waitress who by the way was really friendly and helpful , restaurant had only one other table.

The food was great, very friendly wait staff. Would definitely go again. They need to think about selling their salsa in jars to go. Very good.

Their flour tortillas are made in house and are ever so yummy. I've been there twice now & have had the same waitress, she is SO sweet and lovely. The food is great and this will be another Galveston staple of mine.

Food was okay. The thing that ruined this experience was the waitress and how long it took for us to get our food. We had two tables come in after us and get their food before us. The waitress was on the phone the whole time, she never checked on the table after taking the order. We had another waiter come to our table wondering if we ordered yet and go in the back to get our food. I rarely leave 1 star reviews. I know the restaurant had negative reviews, but I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. I wouldn't go or recommend.

Very very very rude people to me honest I really don’t know why have a restaurant if they don’t want to work. Yeah you’re tired you should go home and let other people handle your job don’t be rude to customers just because you’re tired.

Its not a trip to galveston without breakfast at El Gustos. Absolutely love this place!! Jaime was fantastic!!! Places on seawall could take some lessons on customer service from this guy. Sad to find out menudo not available throughout week, if it sells why change it. I had reg migas, they came with potatoes and refried beans; forgot to take pic. It was delicious

We came across this place by doing a Google search on a quick weekend visit to Galveston and we were so pleased with the restaurant. Customer service was fast and our server was pleasant. Our food was so good!!! My husband rarely eats all of the food at most Mexican restaurants and this time, he left absolutely nothing. He had the carne guisada and I had the guisado de puerco. The flour tortillas are homemade and the size of my head. :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have been to Galveston so many times and just found this place a few days ago. Food is delicious. The service is awesome. The gentleman that attended us was super friendly with my family. My daughter was undecided with 2 dishes. She finally selected the pork guiso but the waiter brought her a small plate of the chicken mole that she also wanted. That was very sweet of him.
The chips are delicious. The Salsa that comes with it is not spicy and you must try.
The food price is economical. We ordered 6 plates with drinks and spent less then $84.
The flour tortillas are humongous. It’s like 2
