Services
The Gifted Child started in a pushcart in the West Stockbridge, Massachusetts marketplace on Memorial Day Weekend, 1981. In the fall of that year, we moved into a storefront in Lenox, Massachusetts, sharing space with the Purple Plume. Soon, we outgrew that space and moved across the street to 69 Church Street and stayed two years before acquiring, and renovating, our present building at 72 Church Street.
Develops critical skills - Strengthens sequential reasoning skills through fun gameplay. What you get - Includes game grid with storage drawer, 40 challenges and solutions, and 12 green hopper frogs. It's classic peg solitaire, with a fun frog theme. Mobi a fun, fast-paced tile game that helps kids (and grown-ups) learn and apply basic math skills.
Once they are all jumbled, try to put them back in the correct order again - it's harder than it looks! Paw your way through this litter of purr-plexing puzzles featuring colorful feline faces. Can you snuggle them together to match the pattern on each grid? The kitties connect in a multitude of ways, the trick is figuring out the correct combination.

Horribly rude customer service! I've turned and walked out on 2 occasions and now after my last experience there I don't plan on ever returning, nor will I recommend this store to others. I will direct them instead to Tom's Toys, or Matrushka's in Great Barrington. Pretty sad that someone who owns a children's toy store can be so rude.

The Gifted Child has a plethora of toys and fun items (hence the stars). However, I must say that the staff made the experience terrible. One of the women working was incredibly condescending and rude when I opened the wrong can ‘o nuts and attempted to quietly put the squeaky worm back in. After I apologized for being loud, she admonished me like a four year old instead of the fully-grown woman that I am. In a world where in-store sales are diminishing and online sales are increasing, you would hope customer service would be a top priority. Her comment was insulting and certainly dampened the

This is a really great store for toys and games.
They have a good selections of board and card games, art stuff, puppets, toys, puzzles and almost anything you could want as a kid. I came in here to find a gift for my niece and was able to find a great assortment of art stuff for all ages. I opted with an art pad and coloured pencils, as she's turning 6 and crayons are for babies. The damage was $9, which I thought was pretty good. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, though the checkout area gets pretty crowded. The store is just JAMMED with stuff.
