Beechtree has consistently been at the top of my list for Nursing and Rehabilitation patients. My husband was admitted to Beechtree back
in May, 2021. This was a hard decision (it always is). He has Lewy
Body Dementia and Parkinson's and is 90 years old. I'm a retired nurse
and took care of him at home for about 1 1/2 years - his diseases took
over a little bit each day until I could no longer care for him in a safe
way. Initially my intent was to place him at Beechtree for a couple of
weeks so I could get some respite time, but then I became ill and was
advised that I could not totally

The safety protocols necessary to visit my Auntie today -- my very first time to see her in nearly a yesr -- were efficiently conducted with patience & understanding by the staff member in charge of this visit. I'm sorry that I don't know the names of either staff member who assisted: It was Sunday, April 11 2021 @ 2:50PM if the helps to identify them for accolades.
We wete able to visit for over an hour -- we were the only ones in the pleasant receprion area. It was so wonderful to see my Auntie.
Here are some observations -- not complaints -- but OBSERVATIONS:
There is a staff member present

Good things happened in the rehab, very wonderful people. I learned so much from them. I can't say enough about them. Manny is the absolute best! The entire PT and OT team-Beechtree is lucky to have them.
Overall, the care I received was good. The first bed I was in was uncomfortable but they switched it out for another one and it was much better and I was able to sleep well. They accommodated my needs and provided me with alternate meals per my request and I appreciated that.
If circumstances required me to have to stay anywhere again, I would choose to go back to Beechtree again!

My cousin stayed at the Beechtree in Ithaca for about a month and a half in early 2019 before being transferred to a Hospice facility. While there she received very good care from a hard working dedicated staff. Our family was extremely impressed with the personal attention and consideration she received from the facility's administrator and his team. They went way out of their way to accommodate all her requests and concerns - even working with the family to arrange a special "cooking" event which my cousin really wanted to happen just one more time. The director, Mr. Williams, personally visited
