Absolutely amazing. The food was awesome but I must say the service was the best I’ve ever experienced. Our server Nikki deserves more than 5 stars. Every restaurant needs an employee like her. She was kind, attentive, and made our first experience at char very memorable. my boyfriend and I both got filet mignon for our entrees. his MW and mine MR. mine came out great but his had to be sent back twice to be cooked correctly. the fact that nikki approached our table both times before the food was sent back she noticed the error before we could even say anything BOTH times is nothing i’ve ever

Back to one of my favorites for my birthday week, and it never disappoints. First and foremost because of the ambience and service....A+ always, and Mike is always a big part of that, and it was awesome seeing Jude back as well. The seafood and meat specials are always cooked perfect, and I always enjoy the lamb. Nice job as always.

Despite not having any confidence that a restaurant in this area could have anything decent, we did give Char a try. Classic upstate mediocre. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. My steak came out undercooked, which they of course corrected, but upon its arrival the second time, I found myself unimpressed with the quality, and didn’t touch it. The owner came over, did the right thing in offering my something else, but I really didn’t want another steak. He sent two glasses of wine for goodwill, which again would have been just fine, not like I was angry about the situation, the steak

It was so good and fulfilling. Our waiter Nikki, was on top of everything and made sure we felt welcomed. If you go there, ask for her and she will take care of you. We ordered from Restaurant week, this was the last day of it. I had the Asian calamari, that dish was the best! The sauce and glaze and freshness was on par. For the entree I had the Chicken Florentine. The polenta was creamy and saucy. I would have that all by myself. He got the Surf and Turf. We've enjoyed Char Steakhouse as a favorite dinner and brunch spot for years... but hosting an event there last night took our great experience to a whole new level! Private party on the patio, tables configured to our guests, and we were invited in early to decorate. The food, as always, was superb... and the wait staff (also as always!) just amazing. Our event was perfection!

Edit: went last week on a Saturday wanted to celebrate my sons Graduation, hmmm lets start by saying bread did not hit my table..... i waited 2hrs for our meal wow not good, my steak was good ordered the porterhouse steak so did my son.the apatizers was good . Now the lobster tail it arrived cold , when i told the waitress she took it and we got a new one but it was over cooked . Anyway once i was ready to pay the management came over i told him my wait time and all. He did give me a 50 dollar gift card. Not and told me he had a big party that they had to deal with .
