It expands the examination wavelength range from green to invisible near infrared wavelengths of light, which makes for a clearer image of the eye.
Introducing The Cirrus OCT Retinal Exam, a highly advanced scanning system that can help in the diagnosis of a wide range of vision problems. Cirrus OCT produces highly detailed images of the retina, the innermost layer of the interior of the eye, and it is the first and only instrument that can "see" below the surface of the retina to examine the retinal layers.
