Nanette's Knits & Gifts
February was a beast this year! Our last storm dropped 29 in two days! The skiers and snowmobilers are ecstatic! Just a quick reminder that Nanette's Knits and Gifts will be closed the 1st 2 weeks of April. If you need a knitting/crochet project, a gift or a hummingbird feeder before that, please stop in soon!

The new shop is now open! My family and I moved everything over to the other side (where the Uptown Food and Deli used to be) this past week-end. My Holiday hours are basically the same as my regular hours since the holidays land on a Sunday and Monday this year. I will be open Tuesday-Saturday from 9-5 throughout the holiday season.
Services
Nanette has many choices of alpaca clothing, hats, mittens, scarves and toasty warm alpaca socks, along with magic skirts, beautiful scarves and hand knit garments. Also, unique hand crafted gifts! Nanette's family is very crafty. Her brother Jim (also featured in "Birds and Bloom" for his hand carved bird houses) carves unique wind spirits out of driftwood and cypress.
Join us for a fun Knit-A-Long to create a beautiful two color cowl that is knit in the round. Very fun class! The kids had so much fun. Cost of class is $5 plus materials which is hand made soap and roving of all colors. Please call 906.364.4752 and reserve your spot! Ages 5 and up. Children younger will need a parents to help.

Nanette is awesome. She sells top quality yarns, and she will help you find exactly what you need for your project. The store is nicely decorated, clean, and has more than just yarn. The Alpaca socks, available in a variety of sizes, are fantastic! Stop in and see what she has for sale. I'll bet you can find something!

Wonderful place for high quality yarn and other knitting/crochet items. Nanette and other family members are so talented. Wood carved items, jewelry, knitted shawls and other items. I purchased Nanette's children's book and she signed it for me.

Amazing yarn selection with wool, cotton, silk, alpaca, and more, as well as hooks and needles. Store also has options of pre-made knits (shawls, blankets, hats, etc) and a small and lovely selection of baby clothes. Other small crafts finish out the space - jewelry, pins candles, hummingbird feeders, and some home decor items.

Nanette’s Knits and Gifts is the coolest place for a knitter like me. I can make a run up to the shop and grab beautiful yarn and Nanette helps me choose a pattern that is at my level - beginner trying to advance to advanced beginner. When I get home and mess up, it’s back to the shop for a bit of help. I do notice that I am getting better at fixing mistakes myself which is the point, but the shop is such a neat place to hang out, that I feel more confident picking harder projects because I like the atmosphere of sitting around the stove and knitting and listening to Nanette tell clients about
